Let the dumb ass media know that T-20 is not any magic invented by Modi and give unnecessary credit. He is a very ordinary business man trying to milk a product that already sells well in India. So no great wizard stuff this.

ICL Invented T-20.Modi is a copycat
by Shankar Kumar on May 27, 2008 10:22 AM

ICL team Hyderabad won the championship.Steve Rixon was as inspiring as Shane Warne. And leadership of their Capt was outstanding.People of Hyderabad have been cheated because of Policy of BCCI and also a former Off spinner from Hyderabad.
It has reported in the past that this off spinner as selection committe member had taken cuts out of player's earnings for selection.
He selected Noel David.
It is a strong whisper in the corridors of BCCI that a former off spinner was the most corrupt BCCI official ever

ICC should recognise ICL and give a slap to BCCI mafia.
My only regret is that Shane Warne was considering joining ICL but due to some botched up negotiations went to Rajasthan Royals at a lower money.

ICL -Please ensure you respect great cricketeers like Shane Warne and give them the respect and due

Biggest Social Reformer
by Sanjay Ranawat on May 27, 2008 10:14 AM  | Hide replies

Lalit Modi is the biggest social reformer the world has seen. He has invented the T20 format, he is running the whole show and getting peanuts in return. He is not making any money at all. His brainchild IPL is a non profit business but generates crores of rupees. Mahatmas like shahrukh, mallya, ambani, preity zinta are with him offering moral support. Like the mahatma he has cheerleaders and actresses wearing minimum cothes providing moral and wholesome entertainment. He is simple great! He has helped cricket to grow more and be socially relevent and doing great service to the society. Long live Lait modi

Lalit Modi is fit for Nobel Prize. After struggling for so many years, without making any money he has sacrificied his life for Cricket, with the support of Liquor king like Mallya, Bollyhood Don like SRK & Co. Mr. Manmohan Singh & Mr. Chidhabaram please make use of Mr. Lalit Modi service to control price rise, inflation. Mr. Lalit modi may be appointed as Planning commissioner of India, so that he will show way how richer can become richer, poorer can become poorer and Middle class to lead a life of suffering throughout their life. 100 years for Mr. Lalit Modi , Mallya, ambani & co

Ignorance

if mumbai misses semifinal birth (which is most likely) it further exposes the ignorance of BCCI administrators on cricket itself.BCCI declared rahul, sachin, ganguly, yuvi and laxman as the icon players and sides of 4 captains out of the above 5 players whom they made captain r out.big surprise dhoni was not named icon player.BCCI should understand for T20 format rahul, sachin, dada and laxman r not icon players.they r not even fit to carry drinks

why credit to modi ?
by Raj on May 27, 2008 09:55 AM  | Hide replies

Why credit goes to Modi ? ICL was the first in India that came into 20-20 , hats off to Kapil Dev. BCCI has immaculated the idea from them. I agree IPL is more success than ICL but ICL forced
IPL to come up with this format.

Infact, our research team invented the ICL idea in a lab in Indian Institute of Science and gave up the Patent Rights for sale. ICL bought that idea first but did not market it properly. They had paid only peanuts. Then IPL tinkered with the formula and then marketed it (circumventing our patent right claim) and became a huge success. However, Modi has agreed to share his booty with us after this IPL season is over, after we indicated legal consequences. Hopefully we would get a fair share of this booty.

P.S: We are not responsible if similar claims of propreity rights for IPL comes from other labs across the world, as our competitors in MIT, Caltech, NUS, Harvard were all working on this research alongwith us. Ofcourse, we cannot disclose how many of our research team members have been earlier working in labs of MIT, Caltech, etc

WHy can't you develop another sport?
by shiva vaidyanathan on May 27, 2008 09:41 AM

Modi sir... I'm following for a very long time. You are awesum. Keep it up. But why can't the board do something for other sports? Not giving money but something like conducting a tournment for a sport like foot ball or hockey? I think you can do it?
