WELL DONE BOYS
by MOHAMED JAFFER on Jan 28, 2008 03:48 PM  | Hide replies

This series really proves Aussies that India is the only country which gives hard time to them and good competitor. Even Srilanka who is having good batsman as well as bowling side, still not giving toughtime to Aussies. Even India lost this series, but gave away good lesson to australians. My advance congratulations for the tri-series.

Yes. you are right Jaffer. India indeed is more superior to Australia in all fields of Cricket but because of intervention of politics and nepotism, young talented players are yet to get recognised by the BCCI.
Atleast now, BCCI will take note of our strength and select people not of choice but of performance.
Australia won the series by default - courtesy umpires. This is not a well deserved win which australian themselves know it.

DHONI, YUVRAJ ETC PROVED WASTE FOR INDIAN TEAM IN FOREIGN SOIL
by SURYAPRAKASH TATA on Jan 28, 2008 03:06 PM  | Hide replies

DHONI, YUVRAJ ETC WERE WAST FELLOWS AT FOREIGN SOILS AND SELECTORS SHOULD NOT STILL REMAIN IN FOOLISH 20-20 WC WIN AND GIVING THEM CHANCE AFTER CHANCE. THIS ONE DAY SERIES MUST BE LAST CHANCE TO YUVRAJ AND DHONI AND IF THEY FAILS SEHWAG IS THE RIGHT CHOIC FOR ONEDAY AND DEPUTE KUMBLE IN TESTS AS HE HAS RESPECT TO SENIORS AS WELL AS SENORS REGARDS HIM TOO.

DHONI SHOULD BE DROPPED FORM TEST SIDE SO THAT PARTHIV PATEL AND DINESH KARTHIK WILL SHARE THEOPENING SPOT WITH SEHWAG IF JAFERS POOR FORM CONTINUES.

Well said, know this fool call Dhoni is telling is suppose to lead a young side without the expierence of Ganguly and Dravid, if he should look at the just ended test series and judge that is he capable of leading a young side, after getting aclamitezed to the condition and being in Austrialia for nearly more than a month he cant score runs, what the hell will he do in the one dayers without the experience guys and also yuvi hadnt had a good series, infact Ishant Sharma had scored more runs than Yuvi and infact if you look upon, then you will realise that including all the six innings which yuvi had played (he hasnt spend more than 15 minutes on the field while batting). And this so called jokers (selectors) think that these two monkeys will do wonders to our team and country. I am not doubting about our young team, they will do better, but for that they should have experience and it should be experience plus youth is the winning streak and not just throwing youngster to play against the best side in the world with an handicapped captain and his deputy.

IT IS 2-1 WIN FOR INDIA AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED
by SURYAPRAKASH TATA on Jan 28, 2008 03:03 PM  | Hide replies

WITH ADELIDE ENDING IN A DRAW, THIS SERIES WAS WON BY INDIA ONLY AS SYDNEY TEST VICTORY TO AUSTRALIA WAS SUPPORTED BY UMPIRES AND ICC WHERE 8 WRONG DECISIONS WERE GIVEN AGAINST INDIA ESPECIALLY SACHIN'S IN FIRST INNINGS AND DRAVID AND GANGULY IN SECOND INNINGS WERE NOT OUTS WITH SYMONDS WHO WAS ADJUDGED NOT OUT IN FIRST INNINGS.

SO IT IS 2-1 WIN TO INDIAN TEAM ACCORDING TO ME. FIRST TIME I SAW AUSTRALIA SO DEFENSIVE IN THEIR APPROACH. HATS OF TO KUMBLE,SACHIN AND TEAM.

Indian team is doing good...Chak de India
by sanjay goyal on Jan 28, 2008 02:53 PM  | Hide replies

Over the last 3-4 years, we have beaten west indies in west indies, Australia in Australia, England in England, Pak in Pak. Something which we could not do is beating SA in SA. Team is on the right track, if we have a good board taking care of needs of team and good selection of team, I am sure we can reach no. 1.

Great !!
by Srinivas on Jan 28, 2008 02:49 PM  | Hide replies

It's unfortunate that some players still play for captain/egos/regional bias etc etc. Recently Bhajji quoted Kumble is the best captain after Ganguly, literally cornering Dravid.
Dravid's idea of captaincy was that a player at international level and representing billion people has to give 100% every time and players need no motivation at such high level. Cricket being our religion these so called players still play for captain and egos.
Dravid's ODI team created records w/o Sachin, Ganguly and OUT OF THE FORM Sehwag. But with these players they flopped misearbly in WC2007. Body language at WC2007 of all players were very poor. Players are more worried that a captain/coach would get all credit for the win. Jealousy still rules in out cricket in big way.

Indian team minus jealousy and egos no doubt is the best team in the world !!!!!!

harbhajan is an idiot and chamcha--greg accused him of purposefully bowling bad in sri lanka under dravids captaincy--all these guys are not bothered about their country and can do anything to undermine national pride--anyway harbhajan is heading for the dog house which he deserves.

YES VERY WRONG ON THE PART OF BHAJI. may be he wants to please kumble as his test place is in doubt as he hardly takes wickets these days and definitely not when India requires them
