Cricket in Australia

APPEARS WHOLE ICC & AUSTRALIA TALKING BULLSHIT. WHAT IS RACIAL FEELING? IT IS THE WHITES (BRITISH,SOUTH AFRICANS, AUSTRALIANS ETC) HAVE AGAINST BLACKS. ACCORDING TO THEM INDIANS ARE ALSO BLACK CONFIRMED BY THE TREATMENT GIVEN TO GANDHI IN ENGLAND & SOUTH AFRICA. HOW CAN INDIANS MAKE RACISM COMMENTS & HOW DO THEY AT ALL APPLY TO AUSTRALIANS? AUSTRALIANS CRICKETERS ARE THICK SKINNED & FEEL CRICKET IS THEIR PERSONAL PROPERTYAND FEEL WHATEVER RULES THEY QUOTE BECOME APPLICABLE TO THE CRICKETING WORLD. WHATS THE PROBLEM IF DOUBTFUL CATCHES ARE REFERRED TO 3RD UMPIRE UNLESS AUSTRALIANS ARE SCARED OF JUDGEMENT AGAINST THEIR UNFAIR CHARACTERS? WHOLE OF AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TEAM HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THEY ARE BUNCH OF STREET SIDE GOONDAS WHO ARE NOT FIT TO PLAY GENTLEMEN'S GAME. HARBHAJAN MUST BE CLEARED COMPLETELY FROM SUCH BASELESS & ONESIDED CHARGES. IN PROTEST INDIA MUST EITHER HANDOVER ALL THE TESTS TO AUSTRLIANS WITHOUT PLAYING. LET THEM BE HAPPY WITH SUCH TROPHIES AND ALL OTHER CRICKETING COUNTRIES MUST ALSO FOLLOW THE SUIT TO TEACH LESSON TO THESE ROGUES. IF INDIA PLAYS, WHILE BATTING THEY MUST STRAIGHT HIT THE WICKETS WITH BAT AND WALK AWAY. AND WHILE FIELDING, THE BOWLER BOW JUST FOR THE SAKE OF THROWING THE BALL AND ALL THE 10 PLAYERS MUST HAPPILY SIT OR EVEN SLEEP IN THE GROUND. LET AUSTRALIANS SCORE 1 MILLION RUNS WITHOUT LOSS OF ANY WICKETS, ALL TIME RECORD WHICH WILL STAND TILL WORLD COMES TO END.

Yes,, We can say whatever we want. We can ask the team to play or come back to India. First no one will see this scrap and remove the S its a CRAP. BCCI will take the final judgement and players will decide while there will be another heading for which we'll rush and submit few more S-CRAPS.

While Australia media have been mostly criticising Aus behaviour and feeling sorry for India, it is for all to see that almost no one -from India - media, players, past players, and BCCI has expressed doubts about what Harbhajan could have done to contribute to the current situation. Everyone seems to back him blindly.

Just imagine what the media and people would have been saying if the situation was in the reverse
"Australia are poor losers. India was great to win in style and in a thrilling fashion", Crores of gifts to India cricketers and more of such tamasha.

There seems to be a total imbalance in our stand and approach

I am sure that the same public and media would throw brickbats if India lose rest of the matches as well.

Perhaps that is a fear down everyone that is pushing more than 95% of respondents calling for India to return wihout playing the rest of the matches.

India should stay and play all balance matches and try to win if it were to salvage some pride

No one, except Tony Greig, ever bothered to ask the question - what made Harbhajan say what he said if he said it? I mean who/what stirred him up? Who started it? Why? Harbhajan was batting nicely and was trying to get his country out of trouble. Such a situation requires an immense amount of concentration. In that circumstance the last thing on Harbhajan's mind, probably, would have been to call Andrew Symonds "monkey". So who provoked him into saying what he said? I believe that the Australians were trying their well-known notorious tactics on Harbhajan i.e. to demoralise the opponent by verbal abuse before getting him out with the ball. If Andrew Symonds did not stir the pot in the first place, we would not have been talking about it now.

Mr. Michel Ponnudurai... Can you just point out one instance when we were favoured by the umpires in such a nasty manner to win a game and Indians basked in the glory... First of all the "racist" organisation called ICC was only interested in the greens provided by brown skinned Indians... There are also a whole lot of "Massi Sahebs" like you, here who are ready to lick the boot of gora masters... and swallow what they excrete.. The real Indians wont take credit and act like ugly Australlian's on undeserving victories... When they made fun of us on our 2020 world cup wins.. we replied with willow in the retrun 2020 match.. Hope you remember bully pontings face after that match

hello mr.michael idiot, stupid michael, first let the aussies play fair game and then see who will win?Indians r not scared of loosing.is there any such issue after they won MCG.Indians r sportive even in loosing.Even if it is 6 tests Indians will play provided idiotic ponting plays the game in all fairness.Bloody aussies say they will play like this in the last 2 tests and still want india continue so that they can make 18 straight test wins.Is this what Aussies want irrespective of whether they deserve or not? u know how westindies dominated 70s and 80s? can u recollect even one instance similar to such that contributed to WI vicotry during those 20 years.None.Aussies always popular of winning close test matches through umpiring erros. In this case even players did their best.so michael shut ur idiotic mouth and sleep at home.

90% chances that Bhajji is guilty of racism
by Secular India on Jan 09, 2008 09:13 AM  | Hide replies

He picked on Symonds and called him a monkey because of his African origins. Indians use the word monkey to describe Africans all the time. He would not have used the word monkey against Ponting for example. He would not have used the word monkey if the West Indian players were there because they would have beaten him to pulp. We must salute Ponting for his principled stand in this case on the face of massive opposition he faced.

how fitting that you have "secular" in your name?
that word now seems to be a tag for anything anti-Indian!!
read how Indians living in australia have been treated because of symonds/pontings/clarkes imagination before you make such stupid comments.
only an idiot would think ponting is principled!!

Indians usually call white men as bandar or monkey. Black africans are usually referred to as habshi vanmanush (chimpanjee). Africans do not know this and they mix up. Anyway name calling is not good and all players (including Harbhajan) have acknowledged this. This is not such a big issue though... but Symonds is a bit touchy about this. Maybe he gets some such shit all the time from his Aussie mates. This is where Ricky Ponting's lack of leadership is exposed. And that is why some people in Australia want Ricky to step down as captain. We have Gilchrist, Hayden and many others in line. We are not against batsman Ponting nor are we appeasing BCCI/India. We want a better captain who can inspire leadership. Otherwise you can bogged down by petty issues and the show will stop. This will not benefit anybody (except lawyers and QCs).

"Secular" is a term in India clearly translates to "anti".. Any coward bloke, who secretly nurses grudge against the nation, wear the garb of "secularism" and just hurl abuses, by occupying the high pedestal of morality. Every nation has their share of good vices and It's a fact that India has got more good things than the vices... By the way most of the Indians believe in the concept of "athithi devo bhava"... and it's a fact that current bunch of Indian cricketers were driven to be aggressive (the line of differentiation between aggression, arrogance and abusive are too thin) by the attitude promoted by Australian bullies... And when they are getting back the taste of the medicine they were testing on others, there is no point in acting like a cry babies... So called "principled" stand of the hard boiled bully and rougue like Ponting... i have no words to reply to you... Get yourself admitted in a mental asylum as early as possible.. By the way you should learn to appreciate the freedom given by India, for you guys to take the moral pedestal and throw filth around... While if you talk ill about the country/people in any other country (every arab, muslim, and "secular" west)... can lead to gallows..

Your concept of giving a taste of their own medicince seems to be to catch the only player of African origin and call him a monkey. You won't dare call any of the white Aussie cricketers anything as they would call you a lot worse. This cowardice at its best. shame on you.

You know the funny part is that Australians take pride in calling themselves as Kangaroos. Our hockey team is hockeyroos and soccer players are socceroos. Kangaroo is animal and hence the subhuman. When Mumbai mob called Aussies as Kangaroos nobody took offence. Now this monkey thing got stuck in Symonds throught. He could not digest it. He was reminded of his school days when kids made fun of him for his dark skin...All the sledging the Aussies have done over years much have been done by others. This bloke would not joke about any such issue because he lacks the capacity take it when returned.

bcci has reduced indian team to the status of beggars

WAKE UP WAKE UP ,INDIA ,JUST A FEW HANDFUL PEOPLE IN BCCI HAVE REDUCED INDIA AND INDIAN PLAYERS TO THE LEVEL OF BEGGERS AND THEIR TAIL BETWEEN THEIR LEGS FOR SOME WHIMS AND FANCIES OF DEMENTED PERSON WHO GOES CRYING TO UMPIRES WOLF.

What is going on exactly ,india lost the test match because of fatal errors on umpiring level ,no problem every indian and every cricketer understands such things happen we may be unhappy about it fine but our cricketing spirit is not low because of that, because such instances are still within the perimeters of cricketing spirit, but pulling out a person and imposing a three test ban on a no one saw no one heard incident is ridiculous and most pitiful thing is despite being stabbed in back we are still trying to negotiate what a pitiful pitiful condition indian team and indian pride has been brought to I say to hell with the series pack your damn bags and just walk out at least we will be holding our heads high that we did not fall a prey to judicial one side benefitting australian jugglery ,

hum sochange hum vartalap karenge arre mere bhai kisske saath discussion karonge ek number ke makkaar gorey insano ke saath who think they can just kick your behind when you are not looking and then complain that their leg got sprained in the act come on now kya indian team members itney gaye guzrey hain.

let all the bcci members be pally pally with australian board ,let the team return to india with their head held high dont fall a prey to juggler

Not only should indian team comeback but all the bcci memebers should be sacked immediately for such a spineless behaviour and making the whole nation lie down so that australians could laughingly and mockingly walk on .

sanjay its happening because they know that all people can do is write about it express their disgust about it, beyond that nothing's going to happen, we need some monitoring agency over and above the board members so that the board members are aware that they have to answer to somebody too and that they cannot do whatever they want ,regardless of what the repercussions would be of their actions.they should have the fear that somebody is watching what they are doing .something needs to be done and something needs to be done right now.

missed opportunity
by neeraj tanwar on Jan 09, 2008 08:54 AM  | Hide replies

I wonder why BCCI did not pull the team back from Australia. This was the right opportunity to tell Australian cricket that they don't rule the cricket. It begs to be answered as to why did Pawar and his cronies settle for so less. The issue was to withdraw the ban first then see that Bucknor is booted out. Maybe some money changed hands and BCCI finds itself more richer out of this caucus. Whatever the reasons we will never know but for sure the national pride has been compromised. In my opinion Bhajji should have been absolved, Bucknor booted out and Test declared null and void. There is no doubt that Aussies were plugged and would have lost. It is Indian teams loss all the way. I wonder why do politicians have to play their Machiavellian games all the time, can't they feel for the nation and the feelings of the nationals. I think Dalmia is the person who would have brought Malcolm Speed's speed to zero and Ausralian Cricket Board would have been shown the place where they really belong. As for the McGrath's and other his ilk. Well he was no angel himself as far as on field behavior is concerned so it is only expected that he would support the green baggies, after all he can only identify with the crass. He may have been a class act but that does not quantify him to be a gentleman. One thing is for sure, the true character of the Australians stands bare much to their chagrin and they cannot do anything about it. The Australian public has shown them how embarrassed they are

Ban Bhajji if u find enuf proofs. However...
by PJ on Jan 09, 2008 08:49 AM  | Hide replies

I remember once insidence when Mike procter convicted Rashid Latif (Pakistan) 'coz he appealed for a catch which touched the ground. Mike sentenced ban of 4-5 matches for this Pak wicket keeper.

He was banned 'coz he didn't show sporting-spirit!!! A very good move by Match refree Mike.
Now!!! Can anybody tell me, how come Michael Clarke's catch or Ricky's appeal for ground-kissed catch was different from Rashid Latif's catch?? But Mike proctor didn't do anything...
If we call paki keeper's act as unsporting, then these ones where replica.

Fairly speaking, if anybody finds a tiny proof (audio/ video OR lip-movement) against him, BAN him! However, if u find anything similar against Hoggy, act against him.
Heh! last concern... While discussing with bhajji, why umpire Benson was covering his mouth (do all umpires does this normally)? ;o)
