I think its all farce to full all of us . The probable outcome of all this issue will be:
After successful negotiation of CA, Mr Sharad Pawar Mr Ponting and KUmble, it was decided that Symonds will drop all his charges against Harbhajan for betterment of Cricket. ICC has conveyed its inability to change the umpire at the last moment and request India to play with BUKs, However it has agreed in principal that bucks will not officiate any match with India in future, to which BCCI has agreed. And the match will go on.
OUTCOMES: Sharad Pawar will immerge as a key negotiator which further strengthens its claim for ICC Presidentship.
ICC, CA and BCCI will not lose a single penny.
Australia will emerge as a sporting side.
LOSERS: Indian team will play with shattered morale, perhaps this may be given as the right excuse for the series defeat.
AND most important is FOOLS like me and you have wasted a lot of time in reading and discussing these things
If INDIAN team is too serious for Harbhajan, then why they are not asking Symonds head for wrong allegations??

Yes I agree. These Aussies who cried foul when Douglas Jardine did Bodyline with Larwood and Voce and their Best ever batsman Don Bradman had no answer to English attack on leg stump. These Kangaroos like to win by hook or by crook leaving aside ethics.Remember those words of Jeff Thomson when he wanted the Indian blood in their tour in seventies and even Dennis Lillee (now earning Indian money as coach in Madras)who punched a bat on Gavaskar's stomach. These Kangaroos are no friends of anybody. Its high time India calls of the tour and lodge a strong protest to ICC about umpiring and other topics so that it remains a Gentleman's game.

Return of India Team From Australia.
by Lilamber Joshi on Jan 08, 2008 10:00 AM

Due to prevailing circumstances and the past records its sure that the Ausssies tour is always preplanned to downgrade the wisiting sides.Recall Murlidharan case thrice and India's last visit there and Bhajji's case for throwing and now racial abuse. Its time India says goodbye to Oz tour and lodge a strong protest against Aussies. There's no point in continuing this tour and India shud say good bye to Australia for good and plan their tours accordingly.

Australia sportsmanship - leading with Pointing are surrounded by bunch of Jokers
by savio r on Jan 08, 2008 09:19 AM

They only appeal when the Joker leader appeals and the other are told to carry on the faces along with the captain - they form like zoo monkey who are left outside the cage for the audience to throw the waste , this supports their diginity ( surrounded players includes mike hussey, brad hogg, gilchrist, symonds, michale clarke - fools etc )

Litmus test for BCCI`
by Bhavesh Shah on Jan 08, 2008 09:18 AM

BCCI's response to this controversy will show whether they care for Indian cricket, its self-respect & its cricketers or if it only cares for the money. If they decide to sell out for the money, it is incumbent on Indian cricket fans to make sure none of the current office bearers are re-elected. As for Sharad Pawar, he should also pay for it in the political field. That is the only way BCCI can be induced to show some spine

60 years ago we broke away from British Empire. ICC is a small urchin.
by Vishnu Sharma on Jan 08, 2008 08:31 AM

oday we should once and for all BREAK AWAY from ICC.

We should form our own cricketing body and allow teams from the Caribbean, Bangladesh Sri-Lanka,
Bangladesh, Kenya and Zimbabwe to participate.

Allow South Africa to participate only when the total number of non whites in their team increases to eight.

We will call the shots from now on.
Let our politicians and the BCCI show some balls for now.

Spineless scum our current politicians.
They will mortgage the pride of 1 billion Indians for a few paltry pounds.

News News News!! Umpire Bucknor no more...
by Sudipto Ghosh on Jan 08, 2008 08:25 AM

News is coming that umpire Bucknor met with a tragic road accident and is no more.
Police sources say that he was out walking his dog when a road-roller at 10 kmph came from the front and ran over him. It appears that due to his poor eyesight and hearing did not realise that the vehicle was approaching.
Reliable sources from ICC and ACB have said that they have decided to mummify Mr.Bucknor's body and preserve it and put it on a stand and will be made to officiate all subsequent matches involving Australia.
When asked about how Mr.Bucknor would signal his decisions, ACB replied that Ponting has kindly agreed to do so for him as Ricky has had good practice doing so in the recently concluded Sydney Test.

Discraceful decision
by Charlie Schembri on Jan 08, 2008 08:15 AM  | Hide replies

The BCCI dummy spit has put cricket back 20 years. The ICC have had the decison made by an independent panel and should not backdown and give in to the bully boy antics of the BCCI. Blackmail may be the way things are done in india but not so in the rest of the western world. Just watching the riots in india and the burning of effergies etc just shows the rest of us( including all those in Eng, SA, NZ, W.I) what a backward area the sub continent is. People have a very short fuse over there and don't seem to think with much logic( burn first, think second) We are talking about a game of cricket-it is simply that, a GAME. Unfortunately, you can see how easy it would be for the media to incite such hatred against the Australians. This news site is inciting much of the anger through carefully scripted falsehoods. Have a look at some of the article topics listed above. It appears to me that the news editors are lapping this all up. I hope that the ICC stand firm and not give in to the growing monetary influence of the Indian middle class. The Indians who have made such stupid comments on this site over the last few days should really be ashamed. Summary:You lost a cricket match, your spin bowler made derogatory remarks and was RIGHTLY suspended, the umpires were rubbish but both teams were affected, the BCCI had a bit sook..again...end of story. lets just play cricket and abide by the umpires decision(ICC)

you have not made ONE valid comment. You are just waffling on. Are there any intelligent writers in India who can debate the issue and not revert to the rubbish that this unintelligent fellow is sprouting.

But can you explain how come a majority of umpiring decisions goes against the visiting sides, especially the Asian countries? Why did Mr. Symonds made a mountain of a molehill? Why the aussies are appealing repeatedly even after knowing that the batsman is not out and why should they lie?
