New Rules for Cricket
by ajay bhathire on Jan 07, 2008 02:33 PM

(1) Ricky Ponting %u2013 (THE TRULY GENUINE CRICKETER OF THE CRICKET ERA AND WHOSE INTEGRITY SHOULD NOT BE DOUBTED ) should be considered as the FOURTH UMPIRE. As per the new rules, FOURTH UMPIRE decision is final and will over ride any decisions taken by any other umpires. ON-FIELD umpires can seek the assistance of RICKY PONTING even if he is not on the field. This rule is to be made, so that every team should understand the importance of the FOURTH UMPIRE .

(2) While AUSTRALIAN TEAM is bowling, If the ball flies anywhere close to the AUSTRALIAN FIELDER(WITHIN 5 metre distance), the batsman is to be considered OUT irrelevant of whether the catch was taken cleanly or grassed. Any decision for further clarification should be seeked from the FOURTH UMPIRE. This is made to ensure that the cricket is played with SPORTIVE SPIRIT by all the teams.

(3) While BATTING, AUSTRALIAN players will wait for the ON-FIELD UMPIRE decisions only (even if the catch goes to the FIFTH SLIP as the ball might not have touched the bat). Each AUSTRALIAN batsman has to be out FOUR TIMES (minimum) before he can return to the pavilion. In case of THE CRICKETER WITH INTEGRITY, this can be higher.

(4) UMPIRES should consider a huge bonus if an AUSTRALIAN player scores a century. Any wrong decisions can be ignored as they will be paid huge bonus and will receive the backing of the AUSTRALIAN team and board.

(5) All AUSTRALIAN players are eligible to keep commenting about all

Kumble not so brave to respond
by Jomesh George on Jan 07, 2008 02:09 PM

I am really disappointed the way Kumble handled the issue of poor umpiring and poor sportsmanship of Australia. Also accepting blindly the order of ICC to ban Bhaji for 3 tests is a coward act.Remember the way Ranatunga handled the umpires when they started to call no balls of Murali dusras.Inzammam also had done his best to make the way out for Daryl Heir a biased Australian umpire.Gavaskar is the only Indian who protested bravely against the umpires and Ponting.Hats off to him.

Umpiring & controversies
by Raja Thakur on Jan 07, 2008 01:46 PM

Despite all these controversies and Umpires favoring australian, we could have saved the match. Losing 3 wickets to a part time bowler though Kumble stood like rock at other end. Harbhajan should have played 6 deliveries of a part time bowler and we would have drawn the test honorably, thus not allowing Pointing to equal Waugh's record. It would have been graceful to stay at wicket and just play 6 deliveries. Dont we all agree to that!!!

attitude of indians in this forum
by sree lakshmy on Jan 07, 2008 12:29 PM

grrrrrrrrrrrrr888888888888888888.......... here is the great indian show on display. its really amazing that idians always tries to find fault with other indians. see those who are commenting here. one is wondering why Indians cld not hit the final nails in aussie coffin when they were 120/6. they can't see the wretched bucknor's designs of not giving symonds not out , not once but thrice, and u expect indians to wrap up their innings so fast?
another indian has seen only 2 of the decisions go against them whereas on a fairly reasonable count even by the aussie media, it was 8 and a minimum of 2 given infavour of them, which makes india having taken 25 wickets and lost only 18 (by their count) and still lost the test.still want to blame kumble and other members of cricket team? ok, do it buddies, anyway u r not good at anything else.one was very generous in giving advice abt scratching our back first, when he was scratching the back of aussies all the time (that too the lower part).all of them agree only on one point , finding faults with fellow indians, gr8 job, guys, keep it up, u all will never hav a boring day in office, all the best.

Bad spirit showed by champion team Aussie
by dhruv purohit on Jan 07, 2008 11:41 AM

Hello friends how are you wish yopu all a very happy and prosperous new year ahead. Jan 06 2008 when Aussie won their second Test will only be remembered for the wrong reasons.Yeah Australia did win the test match but yesterday cricket was the loser. The spirit in which the auusie conducted themselves on the feild is not the way a champion side behaves full credit to the 2 umpires who helped Australia register this win.Australians showed negative attitude and in simple words cheated to retain their winning record. What a poor display the entire world saw sad day for cricket. From here the Indian team just has 2 roads one to get back home showing ICC that we dont wana be part of a series without any ethics or the second way is to fight this Australian side with much more fire and silence them and get home with much more pride. So Chakde India and just make Aussie pay for what they have done to us the entire India and sub-continent is with you even if you lose no harm but fight and get back we need to slap the Aussie with our performace.

by suman das on Jan 07, 2008 11:32 AM  | Hide replies

As BCCI is not going to call back the Indian Team, we should boycott the Series henceforth. So, its arequest to all cable operators in India to stop broadcasting the channel/s (i.e. Star Cricket & Star Sports) which are showing Live matches.

As kumble Said ... We played brilliantly...
Think abt the den where we are playing... we ruin Australians in india...
The Mental game designed for India..

Wrong Decisions... dravid and Ganguly are the best batsman of indian side....

Tendulkar can't play each inning in same manner... he is a human not god....

we have some non performing cricketers as Wasim, Yuvraj......

So we have to think abt next....
This is a Game.... Not a war....
Players are human not robots....

Please be fair weather you r Indian or Australian

Do u expect Sachin to hit a century in the second innings also if he hits one in the first innings??? Why are u pointing a finger towards him?? He is the highest scorer for India so far in this Tour with 243 runs!!

Most Indians will hesitate to point a finger towards Dhoni/Wasim or Yuvraj who hv been the real non-performers!! Even Kumble & Harbhajan have scored more runs than them on this tour!!

Selfish sportperson of the century
by ashish pande on Jan 07, 2008 11:00 AM  | Hide replies

One of the reason behind india's defeat is selfish tendulkar...
He cant play under pressure...he has never played underpressure...he agagin shown that...
His centuries cant won a test for india..he only plays for his personal records...In the first innings he can score another 50 runs...but he was more interested in remain notout to boost his average..we want men like kumble,ganguli...who fought like lion..we dont want bradmans in our team..first remove those so called master blasters..If u see batsman like robin singh or currenly dhoni...they dont have ideal technique but still they score runs because of their attitude...sachin always has very self centric attitude everytime..he dont bat in team interests...he shd get award for Selfish sportperson of the century

Another Cronjee --- Now in Austrailia
by Vishu Dhingra on Jan 07, 2008 10:58 AM

Ricky is another Cronje. He has fixed the match with both Umpires to equalize the records of 16th straight wins. ICC anti curruption unit must investigate this match and will definately find there was match fixing by Ricky and his men with Umpires.
