Dipika had given an ultimatum to both Dhoni and Yuvi...Whoever wins the match for India gets to.... So both played out of their skin...Now who ultimately was responsible for the win is something she will have tough time to decide...

One more member in Dhobi's Gang, Deepika ? Others are Yuvi, Harbhajan-Biggest blot in present bowling deptt. etc

Please, give kissssssssss for Rohit & Uthappa, so that they've in formed. great done aish.
LOl LOL LOl Yuvi lost the prev 2 ODI 's for India but today with his 71 when Sachin made a 0 is a match winner. We will take it. No complaints. Congrats Dhoni on your gutsy gritty performance and will of steel. All the best for team INdia. What a lovely cricket today!

AS a finisher, Dhoni is far far a better batsman than Sachin. He does not hv that class but tries with HEART and 100%. He stuck to task very well.
RE:LOL He is not called Match winner for nothing
by Vik on Feb 19, 2008 06:23 PM
You have to be uneducated about the game to think Dhoni is a better batsmen than Sachin. Today.......Yes, but on the whole, Dhoni has to give performances like this for years to get to Sachin recognition.
RE:LOL He is not called Match winner for nothing
by paramjeet lotah on Feb 19, 2008 06:56 PM
I said I agree Dhoni is no where near Sachin. But winning much is quite diffrent than class. Tell in south african or australian team who has that copy-book style class to which Sachin, Gavaskar, Mahela or Manjerakar belong. But they win matches that matters. A person making hundread and other nine just making 50 are not a great team. Great team is even if every batsman make 25-30 runs and still win it.
Do you think Hayden has class but that guy can catch Sachin in hundrads?
Dhoni is taking team to right way. 50 runs can be scored without classy drives and without boundries and match can be won.
RE:RE:RE:LOL He is not called Match winner for nothing
by paramjeet lotah on Feb 19, 2008 07:11 PM
Did not he tried in last match? He was runout involving a runner. Dhoni looks as if he won't get out. Sachin you are not sure of even a single ball even after scoring hundred. So many time he scored the hundred by 40th over and just after 100 got out to leave team in disarray.
Did not Dhoni tried hard, keeping his limitations in mind, in tests?
RE:LOL He is not called Match winner for nothing
by aditya vyas on Feb 19, 2008 06:23 PM
lol Lotah in which world r u living ?
Have u even seen Dhoni Timing a Ball ?
His batting depends on hard hitting Only Thats not the way to become Pro Like Sachin. Difference btw Sachin n Dhoni u have seen in Test Series. So dont talk bullshit.
RE:LOL He is not called Match winner for nothing
by Tomboy India on Feb 19, 2008 06:40 PM
Why are we fighting over Dhoni and Sachin! They both belong to two different class! Well, about Sachin... He cannot be compared to anyone!
Having said that, in the same breathe I would say that we have not seen finishers like Dhoni & Yuvraj in Indian team. Never ever.... Yes we have seen Michael Bevan, We have seen Andrew Symonds, We have seen Moin Khan & Rashid Latif, We have seen Andy Flintoff, We have seen Chris Harris & Chris Cairns.... many good finishers of the one day game.
BUT not a single SACHIN!!! He was ecstasy and even now he is pure delight! We know the importance of finishing touches but why do we forget the foundation stones?!! Just because they are below the soil??
RE:LOL He is not called Match winner for nothing
by prashanth ramesh on Feb 19, 2008 06:28 PM
Aditya, when it comes to winning matches in atense situation, Dhoni is far better than Sachin. Sachin hase never seen any match through, he either gets out at a tuff situation or he scores big hundreds when batting first, never has he seen the match through like MSD
RE:LOL He is not called Match winner for nothing
by response query on Feb 19, 2008 06:44 PM
Yaa I Agree, May be the SACHIN is GREAT,but Dhoni has proved himself in such a situation in his short span of career,Not is the case With SACHIN in such Intense situations....
SACHIN Now its time to rock the Aussies and India is expecting from you in Next one...

What timing has to do with finishing and winning the game. Sachin's timing and scoring hardly helped India securing a win. Dhoni's composure and collective attitude helped India win. Sachin can score hundreds and thousands of runs, but if it does not help India win, it is just good for records and nothing else. Please stop talking about Sachin's feat, if there is hardly anything like that in Indian Cricket. Please, please, Sachin leave Indian Cricket and coach India for the 2011 World Cup. This is the best thing you can do to Indian cricket.
RE:LOL He is not called Match winner for nothing
by paramjeet lotah on Feb 19, 2008 07:06 PM
Did he it hard? Then why no boundry in 50 runs. Fool Hardy!! Match are won with brain not with Heart.
I feel sad for some of you who want dhoni to be sacked and yuvi to be dropped. See the stats of ODIs in last 3 yrs out of total matches India won more then 60% of the matches were won because of these 2 guys.. Its not by magic they have now becaome capt and VC they have earned their way up there by winning lots and lots of matches with their explosive batting. Dhoni has been scoring great here also in every match he has immense temperment.. offcourse every one does mistakes...but he has his thoughts and i feel is going in right direction...one mistake what i feel is dropping Ganguly but if ganguly was there Rohit or gambhir wud never have got a chance...So all decisions are debatable. yesterday when i said aboout suporting yuvi many people replied he shud be removed..but checkout today scorecard he on 65 of 62 balls and going great hope like many many matches this dui has won in past will take India to the Win...Great Going guys We indians are with you...
RE:Dhoni-Yuvi the way Forward

Don't get bloated with 1 victory, by this 2 dudes. Dhobi & his Gang ( D-Gang No.2,First, D-Gang you know who is called ), has still some serious issues to settle. 1st is Harbhajan, famous for his 'show offs' is biggest blot in this team bowling deppt.
Lets see Yuvi & Dhoni how they perform in future game jointly & for game. Check Before T20, Yuvi was total failure.
RE:Dhoni-Yuvi the way Forward
by Karunakar Patil on Feb 19, 2008 06:20 PM
We never won one day match in Australia against Australia when Dravi? Ganguly played. With old age and tiring long season it wud have been impossible for seniors to win the match opp Ausies.
So Vengsarkar & Dhone took bold decision to resr seniors and have just one of them who is faster on field that is Sachin to advise yuong guns in dressing room, nets & on field.
RE:Dhoni-Yuvi the way Forward
by Krishnakumar Kannan on Feb 19, 2008 06:32 PM
Nonsense!!!! Australia are just a distant shadow of the team that they were. So do not let your personal bias against ganguly rule youe senses

by Prazy on Feb 19, 2008 06:15 PM
3 cheers to the great Yuvi-Mahi duo... whatever people critize them etc they are the only way forwards for India to be world beaters... They have proved it over and over again and Just did it. So Shame on You all Yuvi-Dhoni bashers and other critize i dont kow where you guys are hiding your faces now like Mr Andrew Fernandez
I think these youngster players do not have any kind of responsibility -Robin Uttappa, R.Sharma, G.Gambir. These 3 players always playing reckless shots, and getting out. They always getting good start and always throw their wicket in middle overs. These 3 players always putting indian team in pressure, especially, R.Sharma and G.Gambir
RE:These players do not have any kind responsibility
by Tomboy India on Feb 19, 2008 06:47 PM
It is surprising! There is a very thin line between being aggressive and being reckless. Uthappa, Sharma and Gambhir would be the backbone of the Indian batting in ODIs since they have the technique, temperament, aggression & passion to be successful for India.
Mind my words, you cannot judge anybody by one game. They are young and Rohit has the most responsible head on those young shoulders. Instead of saying them irresponsible let us show some responsibility in making comments, analyzing the game of cricket and judging these three gems.
RE:These players do not have any kind responsibility
by Indian on Feb 19, 2008 06:20 PM
Always is a dangerous word. Uthappa, Rohit and Gambhir don't ALWAYS play reckless shots and show irresponsibility. In this series itself, Rohit and Gambhir have shown some master innings. Gambhir made a century against the Lankans in the washout match, whereas Rohit was instrumental in MCG win against Aussies. Similarly, Yuvi doesn't ALWAYS play fantastic innings. Let us vow never to use such ultimatum based language which flowers when someone plays well, and condemns when they don't. Let's savour this win and hope for some more. Enjoy the series.
RE:These players do not have any kind responsibility
by yashpal Porwal on Feb 19, 2008 06:19 PM
Idiot, Gambhir is top scorer in the tournament before this game, so raise question wisely.
We are not talking about being Hippocrates here and hero worship, with regards to your comment on praising or cursing a player when in form. We need to look at consistence of failures or consistence at the way a person gets out. Than it badly reflects on that person%u2019s attitude and patriotism towards the colors he is wearing. So how ever great a person he is may it be a battle scared veteran like Sachin or a new comer like Prashanth , every one to be weighed with the same scale, no yard stick for 2 different players. We have enough of resources in the domestic arena. No one should take their place in the Indian Team for Granted. You are not doing a favour for India. You have been paid by the common man who watches the Game in spite of repeated failures. So the Common man at times reacts when you loose from winning moments. You should be able to digest it

what damage? after the WC debacle, india has finally started to play some nice cricket now. and you call it a damage. dhoni is good, uthappa is good, and everyone else is good. dont blame when there's no need.

RE:Dhoni has failed miserably %u2026.
by andrew fernandez on Feb 19, 2008 02:28 PM
Dhoni has failed miserably. He does not know what is supposed to be the right combination. Captaincy is not a joke, its like cooking you need the right mix of everything. If you do not have the correct combination of your spices than your food will not have the desired taste so also is the case here, no wonder we are facing failures after failures. 50 Overs game is not 20-20. The sooner Dhoni learns it the better for him. Else he also will have an expiry date at the earliest.
for wat reason u want to sack dhoni?for the records in this tri series after gautam he is the second highest scorer.do u find anything wrong in his keepin??y do u want to take tendulkar out of the team, bcoz ganguly is chucked off so u want tendulkar out as well?this is plain stupidity on ur part.when he hits century u say he is the best.u all r hipocrates.respect ur team first.respect is word.got it.
RE:4ack dhoni????????
by secondearning on Feb 19, 2008 02:29 PM
respect is the world....but its more to the guys who r representing INDIA team in cricket so better they understand it...i dont know y ppl like u like dhoni...he is the most unefficient captian in todays history 20-20 was a mere luck of dhoni and bad luck of misbah-ul-haq
RE:4ack dhoni????????
by shankar natraj on Feb 19, 2008 05:37 PM
you talk of misbah ul haq and thats finals my dear. if a team is capable of reaching finals, then the captain has to be appreciated. but our team has won the finals. but leave the 20-20. Now the team is playing better in the recent times. we've beaten australia in a test and one day, that too convincingly and in their own soil. u think thats fluke?
RE:RE:4ack dhoni????????
by andrew fernandez on Feb 19, 2008 02:31 PM
Exactly, 20-20 is a game full of energy, and Mr.Dhoni did no wonders theer, as its a game of energy, the youngsters were all josh and pumped up, 50 over game is no kids play, you need maturity atthis level to play it. 20-20 world cup vistory is a flash in the pan.

Sack Dhoni as the Captain is what was discussed, well evenother wise what is his Strike Rate, there was this one game where he played, other wise where does he stand.
RE:RE:4ack dhoni????????
by sanju on Feb 19, 2008 02:37 PM
As a wicketkeeper he doin grt n not bad with the bat 2.. so comparin him with likes of ganhuly r sachin solely on his batting is not fair... he is the best wk batsmen india has ever produced till 2day.... his record speaks.. in past 20 odd years in downunder against india's record is much poorer than 2day's team..here veryone is dicussin as if indian's were doin grt against aussie in aus in odi's before dhoni tuk over.. just check the fact...blaming dhoni is unjustifed..
RE:4ack dhoni????????
by phanehwar on Feb 19, 2008 06:19 PM
how can u blame dhoni as he was batting consistently through out the series and he is doing his wicket keeping well. moreover its just because of dhoni who batted patiently which turned out to victory.if dhont batted like other players by risking india would definetly lost the match
Why is Raina & Kartik warming the bench....? I would have preferred to have Dhoni & Yuvraj Sitting out of todays game and play Raina & Kartik instead going by the performance & form of the players so far in the team, or even time for Robin to be sitting out. They have all got long extended chances which has not been properly utilized. So make way for new people.
If Dada and Dravid cannot play as they are not performing why is Tendulkar always in the team? Also by the record Dhoni is also not perfroming so he should be also sacked. Cannot have different yardsticks for different people. These guys are again and again making a mockery of the name INDIA. I think Kumble should come back to One day and be made the captain
