I live in Russia am an avid cricket fan.I am from Chennai.I support My home team CSK.I have been watching Dhoni's captaincy he resembles Putin a lot in Character, not much talkative i.e says when reqd and what is reqd very determined, knows his target and how to acheive it.Luck and time is in his favour just like oil prices helped Mr.Putin strengthen Russia Mr.Putin(dhoni) is riding on his luck and ofcourse he is very intelligent and shrewd, talanted cricketer. I wish him good luck and his presence augurs well for Indian cricket. CSK is the IPL champion. This is for sure. Go for Gold Mr.Dhoni(putin)
You are the biggest parochial reporter in rediff but you try to dish it out in a more subversive way by provoking your readers without them realising that you are actually parochial yourself and that too unashamedly tring to pose otherwise as was evident from your reports earlier. you are wasting your talent and further money earning potential by sticking to rediff and journalism and you might end up with dallagiriso my advise to you is joinBJP or IUML
cheer girls brought by vijay mallya in ipl is a good concept only thing these cheer girls should have been braless to create real excitement among the fans

mallya is the only resposible person at this juncture to show teenagers the wrong way or western culture and spoil the aggressiveness of thier respective careers.

Don't joke - people who are westernised ( including Mallaya ) typically have far more successful careers than the desi varieties....people who do not get action always think about it and hence do now succeed in any thing else.

then you don't like Indian's culture. look at Dhiru bai Ambani who is exreame success bounded to our culture.there are ways to succeed but not sucking the poor unawared people.it take some time to relize and u can c the change towards India....

You mean to say bribery , theft and corruption is our culture ? when you give such examples - please use your brains. Tata is a good example of an Indian using decent westerised model.

Tata's are still robbering this country since it's foundation steps.secure India from Tata's first.
all these players after money as well sponsers.India is going to face big problem in future with regionalism even though few other states players are merged with other region teams.cricket fans are fools if they support regional teams without broadmindedness.look at the money flow, did any of deserved people i mean (poverty)receiving?? tycoons plans are always for selfishness.

Deccan Chargers will knock the living daylights out of Delhi today. Symmo,Afridi,Gilly and Laxman will make the Delhites fall to their knees and vow never to come back to Hyd again.

agree on Symmo, Gilly , and maybe Afridi. Laxman is a no hoper. All the "ICONS" are over priced dodos.

I agree to a certain extent. Laxman is not really fit for 20 20 but let's see what he does. Also I hope Sehwag and Gambhir make runs but they lose the game. lol
The caption of the article is - "Can IPL build team loyalty?" i dont know how far ipl can build team loyalty, but one thing is for sure and that is "we have become more loyal to our master (british). " once a slave, always a slave."
if i am not mistakken, all the cricket playing nations were slaves and they still are promoting a slaves game.
I have decided to support all the Indians who are playing in IPL and cheer whenever they hit a boundary or six or even taken a wicket if the other person is Indian.

I AGREE, among the ICONS, only Yuvi played well so far, but so many matches to play
