i think u r being too partiality with the seniors.just because u r not giving shewaag a chance who is in form.every day is a new match so can't look back to see the record of the individual.one should apply australian strategy.... nishit hegde
I hope n pray dat d Indian team wins d 20-20 game at least and proves to all dat they are desrving World Chapms and their win in d t20 WC was not a fluke as many Indians also feel dat way...
thru out d one day series d Indians have been shooting their mouths off, pls.perform and then do d talking or at least talk first and then do walk d talk -

yashpal is like many of the idiotic posters here. when sachin and saurav were going great guns last match, he was continuously commenting about reqd. run rate and speaking so negatively. it looked like he wanted india to lose the match.
RE:Who should play today?
by manoj krishnamachar on Oct 17, 2007 11:25 AM
agree he is being juggled around all over the order like PINGPONG BALL!!! and on top of it others r breathing FIRE on his A.S.S.!!!! hopefully he will play and do score, its good for the team!!
RE:Who should play today?

Rahui should be retained throughout his life. He's such a good one day batsman. Never mind failures; even if he fails consistently. He may strike form sometime after a few years. Till then, let's persist with him. Afterall, he's such a good batsman and a great fielder in any position.

Well we should also invite other players like G. Vishwanath,Patudhi,Sunil Gavaskar,Kapil Dev,Rogger Binni ,Sayed Kirmani as they also have wonderfull record.Let us treat them as our Moms and Pops, give them respect.Remove the age of retirement from all service rules (Executives, Judiciary,Industries,Companies) as this would be equivelent to ignoring there contridution and will amount 2 show disrespect.
Dear mr Rajputh.... History of Indian players wont win any matches. Its time to drop dravid n take some youngsters..otherwise India wil lose today as well..goood luck rajput
RE:who can save India???
by Suman Bhat on Oct 17, 2007 11:12 AM
if dravid has to be dropped then what is role of ganguly yuvi harbajan and zahirkhan even perfromance of these players did not help team zahir yuvi bajji wil be there doing the chela job for ganguly and tendulakr and sefish openingpair will play 20-25 overs and score some runs so that nobody will speak against or point the finger what about gnaguy poor fieding, poor run btn wkt and not taking singes and creating pressure on batsman otherend? dravid only player who performed consistanly from ast 6-7 yrs one series failure ppl are against him where these cric experts and ex cricketers when ganguly was non performing captitian and did not deserve XII man in team but continued for amost 2yrs as captain ask 2 superstars to bat at any no in every match like dravid did then u see their performance team ind should get rid of selfish opening pair and gambir and robin should open
RE:RE:who can save India???
by manoj krishnamachar on Oct 17, 2007 11:28 AM
yeah true!!! how much has dhoni contributed?? how about yuvi??? no point playing blame game!! true aussies are too good but INDIANS are responsible for their own DOWNFALL!!
unles politics finds even a small place in our team and the set up, we cannot be world beaters..assume if dada was not picked in a kolkota game or sachu dropped in a mumbai game against international teams purely based on their performance, then we all have seen wat can happen in the former case..if ponting or hayden was dropped in a queensland ground, oz fans just dont care a damn...only wen this kinda situation arrives, we can defeat any one..

Dharan
Why are u using Sachin and ganaguly? Only these two have performed consistently in LAST 3 Series. Look at Karthik, he promised so much and then disappeared in thin air. Gambhir has habit of getting out on 5th ball of first over. No YoUNG or OLD the only criteria must ne "consustant performance"

Then what??? Now he is not performing. He should be kicked out unless India will be defeated again.

Hey Maxxx dont get frustrated, he is the one who lost maximum number of matches for india on his own. Do you remember some years back also he was dropped from the one day team as he use to waste a lot of balls... Qualities of dravid: Waste a lot of balls Drops catches and is a slow mover in the field Poor running between the wickets No way suited for onedayers
RE:RE:What about the greatest match loser India has ever produced?

kxHe Scored 90 Runs of 69 Balls in England, He Had the Best Strike Rate in Entire England Series, He is the Most COnsistent Indian Batsman OverSeas, Just Bcoz He Fails in 5 ODI's U R Blaming Him.
RE:What about the greatest match loser India has ever produced?

how many times dravid has played like that? Only once in a blue moon. Check his career strike rate it is worst in indian team
RE:What about the greatest match loser India has ever produced?
by Maxxx on Oct 17, 2007 11:18 AM
His Career Strike Rate is in 70's, I think There is a Lot of Politics in the Indian Team, Tell Why Doesnt he Come Consistently at No.3 or No.5, That is the Best Possible Batting Position for Him, Coz He Got the Best Runs there.
RE:What about the greatest match loser India has ever produced?

Do you mean the team managment should think how to get dravid's statistics improved? or they should how to win the matches. Moreover this is not an excuse..do you remember Michael Beven and what number he use to play?
RE:What about the greatest match loser India has ever produced?
by Maxxx on Oct 17, 2007 11:34 AM
U Know Michael Bevan's Strike Rate, It was 75, He waws A Good Finisher Like Michael Hussey, Now Dont Ask Michael Hussey Strike Rate.Rahul is the Best Anchor Man in Indian Team, Remever he is Also Endorsing Anchor Tooth Paste.

The trouble with us Indians is once a batsman strikes a bad patch we forget the contributions he made in the past. Same is the case with Dravid. In his own interest he should rest for a couple of months. This will do him good.
RE:What about the greatest match loser India has ever produced?
by Suman Bhat on Oct 17, 2007 11:06 AM
it is sefish ganguly is lost many matches to tam inclucding WC match against bangladesh bcu of his poor fieding, wasting bals poor running btn wkt and playing for sponsers team ind should get rid of selfish opening pair
RE:What about the greatest match loser India has ever produced?

Dravid is a gentleman...a great technical batsman... but an absolutely useless captain... He has no leadership qualities and with his batting gone, its time for him to move on.

dravid most successfu odi captain and classy test captain. he is honest and self less and good captain. even icc recognised his perfromance as captain. He was ditched by his own teammates and made victim of dirty dressing room poitics and forced to resign. check the stat dravid did better job in lessthan 2 yrs what gnaguy ly achieved in first 2 yrs
