mamu...if that's the case, why play the match? toss the coin and whoever wins the toss be declared as winner of the match! they said the same at Vadodara when Dhoni won the toss. the commentators said, half the battle was won! wake up maamu.

India Vs. Australia
by don on Oct 13, 2007 05:34 PM  | Hide replies

Be realistic guys. India has won one match in the series and that is more than sufficient. We have a team full of great players and most of the time called not in form. What is form, I never understood. If this is profession and they are daily playing cricket then how come are they not in form. I am really puzzled.
Well they are going to loose and no one can stop them.

Hi don,
We need to be realistic also in terms of how many teams won against Australia and should we single out only India as the most incompetent team which doest play well against Australia.
Probably that will give the right analysis.

Australia - the benchmark
by Ravi Challam on Oct 13, 2007 05:33 PM

At least now I hope we Indians wake up to reality that in cricket, Australia is the benchmark. Beating them in some gully cricket call T20 World Cup is no big deal and so also in an odd match here and there. Unless our Indian team CONSISTENTLY beat the Aussies, we cannot claim to be World-beaters. The same applies to other teams. In the '80s, it was the West Indies who set the benchmark for others to achieve. Now, it is the turn of Australia. So, let's first accept that we are playing a far superior team and not get carried away by our win in some gully cricket that is as stupid as the guys you play and people who watch. End of the day, you also need experience to tackle a team like Australia. Where were the "young men" at Vadodara? Only Sachin batted with courage. So, stop talking and just enjoy the cricket. Let the better team win.

Too much expectation!!
by Manoj Mehta on Oct 13, 2007 05:30 PM  | Hide replies

We should learn to accept that we are bound to lose against much superior world champion. No reasons to abuse the players. If we win one or two matches against Australlia we should be happy.

Ur spot on right Manoj... There are still 2 more games to go and i don't see any reason why India can't win atleast one if not both.. Now that the burly guy Hayden is a doubtful starter..

Tomorrow's Match
by HariOm Chawla on Oct 13, 2007 05:22 PM  | Hide replies

In tomorrow's match, We should play Badrinath in place of Dravid and Shreesant in place of Zaheer. Both Dravid and Zaheer are out of form and should be rested.

We r better
by Pankaj on Oct 13, 2007 05:18 PM  | Hide replies

There are others team like England, West Indies, Sri Lanka......which lost plenty of matches like wht India is doing...

Australians r really champions in 50 overs and test matches....

We r less capable...so it doesn't mean that we should abuse our players.....

we have atleast won a match against giants....we r comparatively better than other teams

If we support Indian players like gentlemen the result might gonna change....

And no one is inviting anyone to watch matches....

be with Indians........like an Indian
