Why do you need a coach? So that you can start heaping blame on him for all the bad performances by our superb team? I think any sensible guy would keep himself a barge pole distance from the job. Look what happened to Greg? He took all the blame for wrong reasons. Our guys are capable of managing themselves without any coach. Many of the players are themselves can improvise as a coach in their domain of expertise. What say?

I think that would be great job for him after retirement though. But till then, he should start converting dot balls into some runs. Look at the amount of dot balls he gave the Australians last ODI.
the EX-Cricketewes who know are climate and nature of the boys who cab play a vital role in bringing up the team India ,rather than we think of the phirangi a coach who plays politics with the players and make 1 billion TV viewers a fool,..............what did our ex-Greg do for India He threw a towel when hhis time came to prove his core. Who lost ,We viewers and cricket fancy idiots

precise reason we do not need a coach--blame him for all the ills--if players indulge in politics and do not care about discipline, fitness and have massive egos--whats the coach supposed to do?

then in that case he should be made the prime minister or president first..let the problems of the country get solved first then we can look at cricket team..can u have a talk with ur rajni sir?
for all the(unecessary) advise he is giving thru the media this guy will make an ideal coach--he anyway knows what an ideal team should be, he has already sorted out captaincy issue and with his foot in the mouth habit, he can make all players contort and become physically fit. my vote goes to him!!
What do you need a coach for? To create rifts between the players? To exercise his fingers at the people? Our boys can do very well without any coach to "help" them, thank you very much.
If you really do think that Dhoni and the others may need advice from time to time, then we can arrange a panel of former players who were experts in the game and have plenty to offer to the current players. In fact, a formal arrangement is not really necessary as I am sure all current players do take advice and guidance from former greats of the game anyway.
