Condescending BS!!

Great, now we have two-bit cricketers giving us advice on attitude. This joker, whose entire international career consists of 13 matches, tests and ODIs, now has the gall to lecture us on the Aussie way of sledging. Does their arrogance have any limits? The very fact that self-styled pundits like this Gavin guy have been brought out of the woodwork to work the Indian psyche shows that the current Indian team has got under the skin of the Aussies. Way to go guys! We should never ever play by their rulebook. There are many ways to win, in cricket and in sledging. And Gavin whoever-you-are Robertson, you can take your pretty little lesson and stuff it you-know-where.

Talking Back to Aussies
by Anantha Krishnan on Oct 10, 2007 02:44 PM

A very good article on managing on field aggro. The trouble is that India is still learning to become a team... they were a collection of excellent players, but were never a team, working collectively.
Personally I feel that some amount of aggro needs to be shown also... the kind that warns people not to push too hard.

im happy with sreeshanth
by senthil kumaran on Oct 10, 2007 02:39 PM

well gavin explained the attitude of aussies in soft way. i want to remind them what they are actually doing,i still remember how micheal slater pounced on umpire venkat ragavan like a "wolf" when he enquired the 3rd umpire for the "fake" catch he claimed and we know how lehman behaved with the sri lankans. The word "wolf" i used above is not my on own in fact lou vincent a neighbour australia recently described their attitude with this word. Finally ricky ponting has given useless comments about their dual with harbhajan he quoted that " he (harbhajan always says some thing and when we reply he run awy from it").unlike hayden generally batsmen wont talk during their batting here bhajji is also tailenter so there is no chance that he started to comment on aussies.gavin talked about ignoring them and increasing the intensity of the game but to me im very happy with the sreesanth .he is giving the aussies their own medicine which makes us happy.

last but not the least a player also agood ambassador of their country but whenever there is talk about their ugly play both ponting as well as border refered this as their culture by doing this they are degrading their own country.some body has tech this to the "chidren of australia.

Yes Gavin is right when he says mental aggression needs to be fought with attitude on the cricket field. Culturally we dont subscribe to sledging eventhough Sreesanth may have his views...In his own words its childish pranks...Whats better is a fitting reply to the series if we can win the remaining 3 matches..then the verbal outburst will sut itself up..after all an empty vessel makes more sound isnt it?
