east or west ur ass is the best u fool we all indian are the best now take this
he is not a big guy like sachin, dravid or ganguly....If he is not in form he should be dropped...there r plenty of guys waiting to show their talent...hey deserve a chance...actually the big problem in indian cricket is if somebody made some runs that person is fixed like a rock....he can play for next 45 years ...nothing will happen....Karthik should be dropped...when he gets his form back he can come back...Up to that day he should play in domestic matches.......

And whom do you bring in place of Karthik??? Sehwag - out of form Gambhir - still to play test cricket and suspect against the swinging ball Yuvraj - not ready to open Dravid, Ganguly, Tendulkar & Laxman - already performing in middle order so no chance for opening.

Karthik would play a thousand times better than Dada if he is asked to come 3 down...Poor fellow was made a sacrificial lamb by being asked to open in England....lucky for him...he turned out to be the topscorer..he showed the technique and temperament...n instead of searching for a genuine opener and giving Karthik the gloves...the team management opts for that sick Dhobi...
And guys like you bay for his blood...Very short lived memory...three failures and you are at his neck...
1st of the 2nd Test against the Pakistan for Team India is a Very Good Day.Every one cotributed for team with big heart. Now selectors have to think on Dinesh Kartik who is now a days not playing his game. Goutam Gambhir done a effecient job in Ranji Matches. I think now his time has come to play. Well Done Team India. All the Best for 2nd day.

man, This guy has done wonderful in england and he averages 45 in test matches. Failing in 3 innings doesnt make him a bad player.
If thats the case, sachin should have been droped in his early stages where he failed in some matches and selectors stick with him. Ganguly wont continue to be in the team when he didnt crossed 50 in 2 years.
Openers need to be funished if they makes 40s and dont capitialize on their good start, not failing intitially. Opening is a gamling job where you will never know wehn a good ball swings a bit than you expect and when it bounces and its really a gamble and no opener in this world shows a consistent performance.
Where he needs to be careful is his shot selection.
Indian team should continue with Karthik because he has performed excellently in England against the swinging ball. He will be an asset to the team when we tour Aus where the pitches are fast and helpful for swing bowling. No point in bringing Sehwag just because we want to make a change. Sehwag anyway has not performed in domestic cricket and also in the recent series against Pak and does not deserve a place in the team. Sehwag should better join ICL or watch cricket at home on TV.

If Karthick cannot play well in Indian conditions where the ball doesn't move much, how do you expect him to do wonders against australia. He should be summarily dropped.

The same yardstick should apply to all players. Even if the big players fail in 2 tests then they should be dropped. Dropping Karthik just after 3 bad innings is not justified.

yes, absolutely. if this is the case, Ganguly wont be in the test team so far as he failed a lot in his initial stages and he even didnt scored a 50 for consecutive 2 years. Sachin also failed in his early days.

One point what you are missing is Viru's test form was not that bad. Only problem is his one day form
A suggestion why not play third test on bouncy track against genuine and international pace bowlers of Sami and Akhtar quality. That of course if we win the second test (most likely we will). This would be an ideal preparation for Australia tour.

Bangalore pitch will assist swing bowling..in past..aussies and paksitani bowler had good outing...mohali pitch has bounce...
