High time Ganguly forgets personal milestones!!
by Judas Preist on Jun 20, 2007 05:29 PM  | Hide replies

For a change Sachin, Ganguly and Laxman may have to come out of self preservation mode and think big, think country!!
I think it is anyday more important that India beats England or atleast draws the series!!
the way Sidebottom, Harmison and Hoggard are bowling at the moment, that seems unlikely! Unless the top order bats out of its skin and all of them are in peak form!!
Agarkar has always bowled well to right handers and 3 to 7 in the England batting lineup are all righties!!
So, Zaheer and Sreesanth open and Munaf/Agarkar can come in one change!!
Ganguly can always be the 4th seamer!!
Lone spinner can be and should be the maestro Anil Kumble!!
No matter how good England are, they never have the air of invincibility that the aussies have!! India should take advantage of that and drive home the advantage!!
Also home support would not be lacking in Lords, the Brit oval, Headingley and Edgbaston!! Lakhs of expatriates to cheer you on!!
So, Go Rahul go!! Stuff the pommies and we are with you!!

I personally will not worry about the bowling cos Sreesanth, Zaheer, Munaf and Ajit Agarkar will make the ball swing like crazy!! No doubt of that!!
Hopefully Zaheer will have the number of the two lefties Strauss and Cook the way he used to make Graeme Smith of SA look like a schoolboy cricketer!!

Munaf is not in either of the team ODI or test. more over pls tell me you are talking here about the test combination or ODI, if test matches than no agarkar. pls dont write for the sake of writing.

Munaf might join the tedam as the 15th member if he is able to prove his fitness by a particular date!!
About agarkar, i agree, that was an oversight!! Sorry!

well, laxman with us, one do not have to worry about losing of our tests. in the recent past, laxman has saved lots of tests matches unfortunately gone unrecognised. if india wants to win one-dayers, laxman has to be a part of indian team.

forget games think country
by Rajan Kumar on Jun 20, 2007 05:21 PM

It is time we shed some of our national immaturity, and thought something about a more important issue for which all of us are responsible as citizens of India. The issue is who will become the next President of India, and can we allow the puppets or the politicians to displace a personality like Mr. Kalam, and be indifferent about it.

It is really an intersting issue as to why the Congress and BJP are not ready to listen to the demand of the millions of Indians who want Kalam to be their President. One reason is that they want puppets or politicians only at the top, while the people hate both. Second is they are afraid that they can not control Kalam, who is a man of high integrity, and can not be used for personal gains.

It is time all politicians understand that their actions are under severe scrutiny from the people, and what do they may actually lead to the loss of whatever little base each one of them has. Actually the winds of change are already blowing. Lalu has already tastes them, and others will taste them soon.

Let us reject all these parties and their puppets and politicians and demand even more loudly for the second tem by Mr. Kalam.

Let us try to do something to bring dignity to our country, and put these politicians in their place.

Let us strengthen our campaigne for Mr Kalam even further. Please send 10 SMS to other people to join us in our demand. Let every one of us write a letter to an editor of a major daily expressing our views.

defenietly ganguly will perform very good in this tour, i wish him and indian team good luck.
many feel that indian bowling lineup is week in this tour, but i feel this young bowlers will do good, zaheer experiance and he knows the english conditions, sreesanth will come out very good in this seaming conditions like he did in south africa, i seen ishant sharma in bangla tour, he really bowled well in that flat track but english conditions being bowlers freindly he will def come out good, even bose who done very good in domestic cric in our flat tracks, so i see no problems in bowling dept. hope every thing will gel and india do well.
