Coach doesnt matter
by on Jun 10, 2007 03:19 PM  | Hide replies

Players matter and not the coach...Aus do not need coach to win. they have consistent players. We need matchwinners and not Faltoo people like Harbhajan, Gambhir, sehwag, Dinesh Karthik...

Guys,After observing the whole drama, we can only come to one conclusion that Sharad Pawar has hit two birds in one single shot.Even though he denies in press, he has his eyes on the ICC president post. For that he need the support of Bangladesh and South African boards.By not hiring whatmore ( he can go back to bangladesh as coach) and by hiring ford a south african he won the hearts of both BD and SA cricket boards.SL and Pak are long term supporters of Indian board.this will make Pawars progress relatively simple.Kudos to the political brain.Pawar is proving to be a much hardcore politician than Dalmiya

Mr. Utpal mind your language. First try to give respect to elders. Atleast he is a Minister, BCCI president. Whatever you bark you are not compared with his shit also. just because you got a free blog dont try to vomit all your crap comments.

Score 2500 runs: You can be in playing eleven for next 5 years and you can do 2 advertisments. Dont have to carry drinks any more.
Score 5000 runs: You can be in playing eleven for another 7 years and you can do 5 advertisements, you can skip fileding practice if you wish to
Score 7500 runs: You are untoucahble, only people can touch your feet. You can play as long as you want to and do as many advertisements you want to.
Score 10000 runs: BCCI is out of options. So, it is unanimously agreed, you rule BCCI.

Coach gets $100000
by Errampalle Jawahardatham on Jun 10, 2007 02:26 PM  | Hide replies

Coach gets $100000 perqusites for the contract. So one who is requested to coach refuses to oblige.
But is there a need for foreign coach?
Can coach covert donkeys into horses in a few months time?

Our players are basically weak--mentally and physically.

cricket is a very simple game..just see the ball coming and hit it in such a way that ball do gets in the hand s of fielder..and then score runss..this is for batting..while bowling see that the batsman do not come in the way of your hitting wicket..before he hit the ball the bowler shud get the ball to wicket..it is so simple..why do we need coach for such thing is big question mark to me..

maharashtrians have monopoly in BCCI, they do whatever they want without thinking either it is in favor of Indian cricket or not. either it is a selection of players or selection of coach, they do what is in their benefits.
they have spoiled our team by taking nonsense decisions like now.
their every action is partial, biased and favored for their region only. it is a time to kick out all maharashtrians from BCCI to save cricket in India.
cricketers from maharashtra: tendulkar, jaffer, zaheer , agarkar ( all are useless )

Trio is the best and they are only capable of winning matches. Hopeless and rubbish people like Karthik, gambhir cant do anything and are shame on Indian Cricket. Its good that Selectors will drop them when Sachin, dada return to team for england tour

WE can only hope...
by yogesh kumar on Jun 10, 2007 01:11 PM

The BCCI's motive beind selecting low profile caoch is very clear.they want to avoid contoversies that happen during Greg's time but as we know John B ( Aussie coach) was also a low profile player.Infact coaching is not a job of high profile people as their ego come in their way.we can onlu hope that team perform well...`

by Warrior on Jun 10, 2007 01:00 PM  | Hide replies

BCCI didnt even care to have a official website of its own .For a cricket nation and too a computer gaint India.Even minnows have there own standard official website for cricket
HOW CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THEM TO PRODUCE A INDIAN
COACH.
ITS THE STANDARD AND CARE THEY HAVE FOR CRICKET.
THE PROBLEM IS NOT WITH PLAYERS ITS WITH THE BCCI LETS DISSOLVE IT AND GIVE A NEW LIFE TO IT.
OTHER WISE EVEN AFTER 50 YEARS WE WILL BE BEGGING OTHER NATIONS>
