ICL could rope in neglected Ranji player. BCCI's attitude is worst attitude for any sports authority.

ICL is needed...
by anoop anantharaman on Jul 23, 2007 10:14 PM

it doesnt matter for now what subhash chandra aims to acheive, but bccI NOW BELIEVES THAT CRICKET IN INDIA is BCCI property and they can behave recklessy and do what they want, a parallel league and if it successful, then it is good for the game as there will be more avenues to scout for talent...and atleast for now, ICL is looking at experts, former cricketers for the roles and not having ppl like ...oh my god...who...what shah and sharad pawar...heights and there was a jagmohan dalmiya sometime back...and there was some modi also...they have a lot of ppl who get mileage my talking ill about our players...atleast our players try their best with the kind of pitches and conditions they are provided at the ground level....if mrs.patil wasn't the president of the country, they would have made her BCCI president...first woman BCCI president i am sorry...it requires no more credentials...

kerry packer

for your info kerry packer never wanted to develop cricket.he was angry with ACB, now CA for not granting him television rights. He always called his venture a business venture. Never did he speak about developing cricket or improving infrastructure. He was not a hypocrite, like Subash Chandra who in the disguise of reforming Indian cricket, wants to settle scores with the BCCI.Just think about it.

Well said. Now it's intersting to see if every other TV channel can come up with the concept of their own league so that they have the exclusive TV rights.

by chaitanya lakkapragada on Jul 23, 2007 09:12 PM

this is another money making excercise from zee.they were gutted at not getting BCCI cricket rights. It's not a measure for cricket development. As per news reports they don't have grounds to play on and matches r gonna be held in puuuuuuuuhhhhhhh nagaland, pondicherry where no won watches cricket.ICL will meet its doom in the coming years.

Break the money making monopoly of BCCI- and desperation of our great politicians to sniff some part of that money. Teach these people a lesson. Long live Indian cricket and long live ICL/ ZEE. Parag

ICC & BCCI Wake up
by vishnu vijayan on Jul 23, 2007 08:35 PM

Never underestimate an Indian, he is capable of pulling out a surprise just like how Zee has acome out with a parellel cricket.
BCCI your monopolistic days have come to an end and atleast now try and be transparent in all your policies. BCCI official should be made accountable for India's poor show

Wish Indian Cricket League could create repo like english county in coming time and more current and high profile players would feel like to associate with the league. Hope BCCI and politicians wont poke their nose in this to spoil this initiative.
