Shame on us Indians, the jealous, the buffoons, the good for nothings, and the diggers of our own graves. Good things are never meant for you. Even if we get it we lose it soon.
We deserve another 1000-year rule by the whites. Perhaps beginning with stony faced White Mischief. It is very difficult to rcover from the plunge and the nose dive of team Chappel satelite in to the deep sea.
Now that Ganguly has been selected for ODIs, that too thrashing his career-destroyers through his excellent performance in South Africa (and also in Ranji), Rediff does not find any special note of glorification from their side. Perhaps here they do not have any 'special' opinion. But they would try to demean the batsman whenever there is a single opportunity (for example %u2013 the highly partial and insulting article, with statements mostly not related to cricket, written by Arvind Lavakare when Ganguly was about to be sacked). Should this be the example of true and fair journalism ???

This is right team also according my self but i want one change as Mohd.Kaif in place of Suresh raina.
Firstly, the major players when made captain seem to loose form -- Azhar, Sachin, Ganguly and now Dravid. Compare them to Australian captains--all performers. Our captains, as far as I can remember except for the Great Kapil Dev, just do not have the killer instinct. Out of the above four, Ganguly was still the best captain. Secondly, the selectors are concerned with players like Kaif, Mongia, Pathan, Sehwag etc. loosing form and so being excluded from the team. Ok, thats good, it helps keep players on their toes. But, what about senior player like Sachin, who has not performed in years, always down with some injury. Why is he not asked to take a rest and regain form. Ganguly had been removed in a most humiliating manner but had the grit and determination to come back. I personally feel that its high time Sachin deserves to be kept out and a younger player given a chance. Or is it selectors bias ? Why can,t the selectors take some hard decisions to send a message to players -- perform or you are out (no matter who the player is).
RE:9th Schedule of Constitution

Indira Jaisingh has voiced the same platitudes that politicians in power do time and again when their populist and blatantly divisive decisions are contested. The parliament is the supreme law making body but great responsibility devolves on it while making laws. The SC ensures that there are checks and balances that prevents abuse or misuse of this power. The elections of the Members of parliament have thrown up leaders who disregard the basic norms of civilised behaviour and make an open mockery of law and their implementation. The OOP issue, the increase of perks, the junkets, the study tours, etc. Under such circumstances and with the proliferation of the regulatory machinery to control all sectors of the economy, it is time that the 9th schedule be scrapped in totality.

the team selected by abdulla syed is very good but he should include anil kumble & balaji in that squad.
there is no doubt abt sehwag being brought back into the team after first onedays ...Its only because greg & dravid rate him higher...and its very hard to replace a player of his stature...its not because he is going to smash in the ongoing Ranji trophy and blast his way into the final eleven....I think in the first two onedays Ganguly should play in the middle order as the once famed indian middle order looks very very fragile....As Uthappa is an agressive player and inform batsman he should be given chance ahead of Gautam Gambhir.... I dont understand why R P Singh is again brought back into the team..as i strongly feel dat he is not an international kind of bowler... Looks like the selectors have given biggest challenge for Dravid by selecting this team and with most of players out of form.... With VVS Laxman again not featuring in the first 2 ODIs i feel sorry for him as he may not get to realize his dream of playing in worldcup... N finally there is no mention of Yuvraj and about his fitness....India badly needs him now....hope he wil b fit soon and bring back glory to indian cricket team....
