You will lose your bet, fair and square, he was highest scorer against Sri Lanka and won the MOS, understand Bangla power? Also selectors have blundered by selecting a half-fit Munaf Patel, Ranadeb Bose could have been the much better choice looking at his strike rate and nature of competitiveness. Also Ranadeb is a decent fielder!

Good that India is back on winning ways.But this win is mirage. What are we talking here?? Ganguly as MOS?Ganguly was good batsman & captain couple of years back,but now hes past his prime.He was egoist,arrogant and captaincy went into his head.Or else how can he justify his place in team on basis of century against Zim(recollect media conference after Ganguly-Greg fiasco).I do agree some of policies of Greg were not in sync with our Indian mindset.But all said and done,Ganguly realized that he need to shun his egoism and arrogance and work hard on his play.He did that and he regained some of his past glory.He played well but then when all are blind one eyed man is king.Our Indian cricket is also similar.India must find answers and good replacements of Sachin,Ganguly & Dravid after World cup.

On what basis can you say that Ganguly was egoist and arrogant? cos he refused to buckle before white powers? cos he waved his shirt in the lords balcony? Ganguly is what all Indians want to be, proud of the fact that they are Indians. Ganguly does not need to apple polish any white guy and suck up to him. When flintoff waved his shirt in India, nobody protested, then why this discrimination? It is clear that you do not understand the game of cricket when you defend Greg chappell. It is the same man who sacked Zaheer and Balaji and also gave adverse report of Ganguly, now Ganguly has proved that he is indeed one of the best batsmen of India even today.

Ganguly crapped against Aus most of the time. He scored 144 in Brisbane but apart from it does he have any decent score against Aus? Fine he scored against SA but that was when SA were on a decline(period 1999-2004). Admit it Saurav is a weak attack bully. Last WC was best example. He scored against Kenya,Zimbabwe and Namibia. But he flopped against Pakistan,England,Sri Lanka and Australia. Don't give one or two knocks like 183 against SL in 1999 as proof. Has he done well consistently against strong teams like Sachin?
Suman please try to think from an Indian's point of view. U are becoming toooo Dravidishhh. Dravid is good player no doubt, good captain also. But don't be jealous of other's achievements. Ganguly is doing very well, congratulate him, the team is winning which we all want, that is happening, congratulate the team !!! why u r creating a new controversy again ??? U r right I am a great fan of Ganguly and an equally good fan of Dravid. And media is always praising Zaheer as far as everyone can see. In ur message below u said Ganguly got success because of other players, doesn't the same is true for Dravid too ?? Tell me how many matches Dhoni and Yuvraj has gifted to Dravid ..... a lot. Same way Yuvraj and Sachin kaif sehwg had gifted to Ganguly as well as Dravid. That means it is a team game where everybody is contributing , and that is what I am telling u. Nobody can win a ODI match scoring 300 odd runs alone and also taking 10 odd wickets !!! Dravid is a better batsman and saurav is better captain and it is true on any given day. And this a fact !!

What do you have against Dada yaar? Did he refuse to marry your sister, so why you getting pissed off with him. He has played his game better than anybody so congratulate him. No one is comparing him with Zahir or Rahul, they are all Masters in their own form but the hype with Sourav is nothing but the reaction of the treatment meted out towards him. Why do you call it media bias? Consider what Pataudi said about Dravid's body language - which media does he represent? Just leave the boys to play there own game - INDIA IS THE BEST!

If dravid is not best but he is equally good like sachin better than ganguly. dravid's % contribution to team's victory is more than sachin and ganguly in tests and odis, he involoved in many partnerships which ended in win for team. Out of 10K odis runs, dravid scored6500 runs outside india, 53 fifties out of 77(50s) scored outside india. he scored only 12 hundreds which won him moms. dravid had only13 moms in odi and ganguly got 22 hundres and 30 moms out 22 13 are against weaker team and ganguly scored 100 in 2003 WC against kenya. and he won MOS after 6 yrs During his tenuare as captain ganguly did not win any MOS. While dravid withing 8 months of captaicny won MOM and MOS agianst WI (which is better than kenya and zimb) also capped ICC test captain for icc test team and his name is short listed ICC captain award.ppl cricticse dravid's 1yr achievement with gnaguly 5 yrs captaincy. Ganguly had always with him dalmiay and media.While Dravid always sandwitched between sachin and ganguly duel for captiancy, he is doing equally good job as captain within a short span of 1 yr. media and some ppl blindly criticised him for ganguly chappell saga or some players injury, out of form, team's defeat. wen team had lost under ganguly's leadership, nobody passed the negative comments towards ganguly.But without giving credit to dravid's and other players, contributions, ganguly was praised as suceessful agressive captain dravid shared the credit of victory and ganguly took the credit for victory. When Dravid performed in 1999 India could not even reach semi finals. When Sachin performed in 1996 and 2003, India went to SF and Finals respectively.

Dravid score 461 runs in 1999 WC is still recored for wkt keeper. and in WC2003 it was sachin played brilliantly against pakistan and took team to smeis. any team win agianst Kenay and ganguly scored 100 against weaker team which was his last 100 till day in odis. Gnaguly is stroke player and he has advatange of opeing innins while dravid played more times at no 5, 6, 7. team ind reach WC 03 final not b'cuz of ganguly's captaincy b'cuz os sachin played brilliantly only he did not get credit but ganguly for being captian praised as successful captain.the real performer is sachin who scored highest no of runs won MOS.. by: Mrs. suman
