Good show by Saurav
by Spinal Tap on Dec 08, 2007 10:47 PM

Great Show by Saurav.Back to back centuries. I remember that Dravid hit 4 or 5 consecutive centuries once.
Keep it coming Saurav. We need another century in your next test too, the 100th. That would be just wonderful.

It is sad people like you put stars like Sachin , Dada and Dravid into silos. You forget when Laksman, Dada, Sachin, Dravid hit tons, no matter which stadium they play in they are appreciated by our crazy fans

Dravid is one of our best Test batsman and there is no doubt on it. Ramesh - trust me a lot of people outside Karantak like him , grow up !!!

btw what has Dada or Bongs to do with Dravid's bat form ? ..... talk sense dude

Please write constructive comments, rosogoolla , bengalis , etc.....what is this.
and also this rosogoolla had levelled the series against australlians in australlia. I think ur ego has been eroded by a bengali therefore we are seeing thinking against bengalis in your comment.
Sorry freind not a right place for u here.

I'm curious why you havent said this against your fellow rosogollas write comments like these.
Is your moral science lesson only applicable when someone says something against your own community ?
Shameless people.
Everyone you people cant look beyond your own state, but you get it back when you abuse people from other states.
After all Calcutta is a hell hole and Bengal is one of the poorest states in India.
So beware when you say something against someone.
I can say things about your clan which will make you feel ashamed about yourself for the rest of your life.

Dravid has not done anything meaningful for last one year, except for a century against Bangla (a really weak opposition). He had a free ride as the captain in SA and England. I think he should be shown the door. Even Mark Waugh was dropped when he did not perform. Time has come for Dravid to go.

If this continues, he will be dropped very soon. He is no exception from Saurav.
Saurav had to stay out for almost 2 years. But, if Dravid goes out for a longer period, then he has very slim chance of making it back to the team.

I wish Vengsarkar will hang around for some more time. Only he can take tough decisions. He should tell Dravid - dude if u volunteer to open in Australia, u stay. Or else u leave! Call me by tomorrow to let me know ur decision. Only this kind of tough talk will work. No beating around the bush now!

As long as he is around, all the seniors(incl Sachin) have to watch out.

I have never seen someone so happy when his own countryman, failed.

Fikar naa karo boss, ab Dravid kaa ant nikat hai. Dravid is in the last leg of his cricketing life. He should just retire gracefully and spare the pain to the selectors of dropping him.

Dravid a burden
by no south on Dec 08, 2007 10:33 PM

Right now Dravid is a burden on the Indian cricket team. Why didn't they rest him, instead of Sachin? Dravid is just getting a free ride in the team at the expense of Yuvraj.

Keeping Yuvraj out of the two previous tests was certainly foolishness. A talent wont become a star until that talent explodes on the ground. Come on Indian team..This series is certainly yours. It is the India vs Australia series that I am looking forward to! We need all the guns to fire in Australia!! Bowling department may need some repair work. RP Singh and Sreesanth should be brought back I think.

Right now Yuvraj should be in the team and Dravid should be out! But Dravid is getting a free ride in the team at the expense of Yuvraj because of good performances in distant past!

Three tests against SA (2006) and three tests against England (2007). And no meaningful contribution agains PAK. How long a rope does Dravid want? Why is he blocking the place for Yuvraj?

Can somebody explain this to me
by Sankran Maity on Dec 08, 2007 10:26 PM

It is often said that Ganguly made centuries against weak teams and weak bowling attacks etc. Now all of those who know more than me, how do you explain the other players not making centuries in those same matches ? Or is it that greater players like Dravid and Sachin they have refused to score against poor opposition ?

It is quite clear. Dravid should be kicked out. But the lungi lobby will not let that happen. I think they will get Vengsarkar kicked out of the selection panel before he kicks Dravid out of the test team. I think Lungis want Deve Gowda to be the chief selector.

Yes I agree. If Dravid agrees to open he can hang around. Otherwise anyone who volunteers to open (Karthik, Gambhir, Chopra) should come in place of Dravid. But Dravid blocking the place of Yuvraj is supreme injustice and will not be tolerated by ppl anymore.

Being a test match opener is tougher than being the captain of the team ( at least thats what I think) no one wants the responsibility!! but yuvi deserves a place in the middle order...how its up to ppl who pick the players= morons!
