And if at all the match takes place, it has still the danger from Dhoni, who does not co-operate with Kumble because of his ego and jealousy and greediness for praise. He purposely played slow in Calcutta test so that Kumble would not get two consecutive wins.

I think people in Indian cricket are clever enough to understand if he is doing any such non-sense. He might as well never beocome the captian of the test team if Yuvraj gets his break and continue his form. Also, there are a few Wicketkeeper-batsmen breathing down his neck, like Karthick. Even Karthick is known as captaincy material. With his technique in batting, his place in the side can never be that secure. Lets see him in Aus, Ganguly has already put pressure on him by saying that Dhoni's batting would be an asset.

oye...dhoni is vice captain..so he will like to win the test match..kumble will be there for 1 more year.so next test captain will be dhoni..kaneria is bowling arond the leg stump..only sachin and laxman can get runs...wen a bowler bowls at leg stump .didnt he hit 57 runs quickly in delhi test match and a 50 in first innings

That is what I call 'greed for praise'. See, Dhoni is a good player, no doubt, but success is making him forget ethics.
We have seen him quite a lot of times hitting balls over the fielders by stepping outside the leg stump. Negative bowling does not matter to player like Dhoni. And in this particular match, there were many such deliveries, which were on stumps, some of them on good length spot, others half volleys and a few full tosses. Something surely was wrong and fishy about his batting.
Surely, in Delhi test, he hit 57. But surely something happened to him between the two tests. Perhaps one win for Kumble was enough, and consecutive two victories would give him too much credit.
He was dabbing almost all balls, forget those on the leg stump, to kill the game.

dont call urself a dhoni fan..if u dont have faith in ur fav player..
dhoni is strugglin wit ankle injury..u shudnt forget that..and also...danish kaneria bowling was negative......yes some of them r good to be hitted ..but dhoni isnt great player of leg spinner...he tried to upset danish kaneria line but reverse sweeping..but he cudnt get away...
laxman and sachin r the only great players of leg spin india...once upon time ganguly used to play spinners well ....but he also struggled in the match...
just play 1 innings slowly doesnt mean..dhoni is greedy or lookin to waste the time...
please dont write these bullsh*t stories in here...

Aditya, you surely missed something. Please see replays if possible.
Dhoni was just paddling the balls. He was sent at No.3 to accelerate the score. He did not do that.He consumed lots of balls into dots, sometimes 3-4 of them in a row. He reverse sweeped the balls on good length, half voleys and even full tosses. These balls were meant to be hit over the fielders. Eventually, these reverse sweeps found only the fielders. His strike rate was the lowest then, even if he was sent specifically at No. 3 to score fast. Any person who understands and has played cricket would notice that he was purposely playing slow.
I myself was a fan of Dhoni, but not any more. Surely, he is playing politics with Kumble who is respected by entire India. Superiority complex, Ads, Money and Deepikas are carrying Dhoni away.
He has become greedy for all the praise and does not want to share it with Kumble. Dhoni is the biggest of all the dangers to further matches in Bangalore and Australia.

people so love ridculous conspiracy theories. No cricketer will stake his reputation, a victory for his country(and hence himself) just to play stupid games...dhoni is not even 100% sure of his place in test team, i doubt he would try soemthing like that.
Btw the best way would be to drop catches behind the stumps he wanted to avenge kumble...how many dropped catches were there in the match?
Such low IQ levels, no wonder india is going to hell with people of such low mental calibre around.

Though Dhoni started slow, he made up for it in the last part of his innings. In fact, the only six hit in India's innings was from Dhoni's bat. You are correct -- Dhoni played awfully slow to start with. In the first 40 balls that Dhoni faces, Dhoni had made 5 runs. In all, he played 82 balls for his 50. So in the next 42 balls, Dhoni made 45 runs -- which is almost one day like. That is the reason I do not think your "analysis" is true.

Dear Saturn No, its not ture. I am afraid Dhoni played little slow but it was not intentional. Dhoni is a new captain of ODI. He knows Kumble's capabilities as player as captain.

It was not 'little slow'. It was 'perfectly slow'. Just watch replays if possible. Don't believe in me. Ask a few experts.
And Siddhartha, who calls me a 'low IQ level' person, certainly does not know cricket. I am here neither to tell him my level nor to discuss HIS IQ level surely. And I don't intend to reply to him. Decent persons like Dilli chalao should read my letters.
I am sure, it was intentional and quite a few people in this forum have agreed with me yesterday, if you can go through that.

Mr Saturn one cannot play on the 5th day of a test match as if one is playing a ODI. The nature of the wicket is quite different. Dhoni lacked experience of playing in such conditions may be he was batting for the first time on a 5th day pitch. Ganguly was better if u could remember they should have sent Tendulkar or Laxman
Weather predictions by weather.com do not show any rain on saturday and sunday. Though, partly cloudy sky is predicted. Normally predictions by weather.com are accurate.

The same weather.com predicted rain on Friday. I think that's enough to spoil the First day's play.
never beleive meterological department, opposite happens to what they say. It won't rain. India is going to crush pakis in this match as well. If a day is wasted, still India will crush pakis in 4 days!!

India can not lose with the teamwork and form they are in. Pakis are going to burn the effigies of their cricketers, mark my words!

Last time we lost the match on the fifth day. This time the whole team can sit in the rain and enjoy Pakoda and Bhajji. Or better still meet Deepika!
Indian batsmen may have hard time facing Akhtar and company on Banglore's bouncy wicket. Unfortunately, India, already a weak bowling side, will be playing without their main fast bowlers. The only way India can save this test is by piling on runs.

Kapil Dev Nikhanj, spearheaded our attack and got a bulk of his wickets playing on our dead tracks - so that's definitely an unfair statement bro. Had he been part of an Aussie side, he would've had 600 in Tests.

dont worry we got irfan pathan..who got hatrick against pakistan ..he will swing the ball in the air..irfan pathan will be trying to make a big comeback in test cricket

India's bowling is not strong.Agreed. But, this may be good enough to remove 20 pak wkts on decent tracks for bowlers. You cant expect the 2 Y's of PAK to get runs for them each time they play
weather has been very bad out here , it's getting almost dark by 2pm and no signs of bright sun till 9-10 am, hope the weather ll be clear by Saturday and we get a good 5 days of cricket
