here is what India needs to do when they play in Australia::
1.Dont meddle with the outside the off stump ball. There will be 3-4 slips waiting to take the catch.
2.Leave the bouncers alone--Especially Saurav Gangully.
3.Dont try to bowl too fast::Roger Binny and Mohinder Amarnath type bowling will do.
4.No cheeky singles ::Please run when 100% sure Rahul Dravid and Laxman.
We may not win but we will get a draw atleast in the tests

huh? Point 1 is true anywhere when a batsman is new to the crease. As lawson said, aussie pitches are good batting pitches if u can handle the bounce. Point 3 is rubbish - slow-medium pacers get creamed on fast bouncy pitches - they work in england, NZ and the subcontinent but not in aus, unless the pitch is green (unlikely given we are playing at traditionally batting friendly grounds). In aus, 130 is required to trouble batsmen, closer to 140 the better.

May be we can add 2 more points:
5. If you are specialist batsmen then try to face maximum bowling esp if bowler is opponent's ace & not easily expose the tail ender at other end.
6. If your team is at driver's position, your side is batting & umpires offer you bad light; dont accept & continue playing.....saving 4-5 overs each day may make a lot of difference on last day result.
