yes, he is a bowler. most inconsistent bolwer I have even seen. God only knows when he bolws well. We have to wait for that instance when he bowls well and that comes once in 2 years. He used to be good one day bolwer (fastest to get 50 wickets), but not now. he had enough chances.

only 2 times we can remember him, 1 for his heroic bowling taking 6 wickets against Aus and his useless 100 against England where India lost the match.

u mean zaheer or munaf or x y z is better than agarkar...no way..........we cant even replace agarkar in wicket tking or even his swings...he is a top class bowler in overseas on any day with this bunch
Indian Team lack matchwinning spinner like Muralidharan or Sharne warne. India could not restrick this second rated Pakistan team in a track that helping the spinners. Neither Kumble nor Harbhajan are matchwinning bowlers anymore and it is the time india should start grooming young spinners as spin is our strength over the years in the favourable home conditions.
First of all sau runs for Saurav!! Dada patiently waited till the name of city of Joy was changed to Kolkata. Congratulations once again. Now, dada should go on a make a double century.

I was simply referring to his desire of scoring a double century in a test match. Not this test match, unless we want to play for draw.
India shd declare @ 350 but not more than 7 - 8 over...Dhoni shd be more agressive ...Dada is kewl at 70 strike but he can also improve...one thing we shd learn from this series ...if every 1 put some to the team effort we can wn matches and it gets a series too...Kumble is a decent captain where he can get all seniors and juniors at same point....now he shd work on diff strategies how to beat australia...he has to use his brains and every persons strengths against them...if we need to beat Australia...Dada shd be agressive in his plans and help captain...sachin shd give imp when things required...dravid shd be rock solid as wall in test series...let yuvraj dhoni uthappa ..be the next kings for ODIS.........kumble and bhaji shd have a diff strategies...this sreeeshanth shu be out of team ...
Dinesh Karthik has no clues whatsoever in international cricket. He's clearly short of talent. In England, he gave the impression that he can play but he's pathetic. He has guts to play at time but not a regular opener. Sehwag or Ghambir will do 100 times better than Dinesh Karthik. With Dhoni cemented his place in the test team, his future is a big ?????????? I feel sorry for Dinesh Karthik

I guess you can feel sorry for the person of he was dropped due to politics. Unfortunately, he does not have it in him to face geniune pace. Look ahed to India sucess; Dravid/Laxman/SRT/SCG should open the innings with Jaffer and Yuvraj should be drafted in. Additionally Tiwari/Badrinath must be groomed into the middle order.
The Indian pace Bowling is going to Struggle in Australia. Munaf is PAthetic; Zaheer is good occassionally; the rest are flimsy and get injured too often.

It is stupid to move well established middle order players to the opening slot just to accomodate some other player.
In my opinion, here we need to follow aussie principal in case of langer. Langer is not finding any place in the middle order and only place that is left is Opening when slater dropped. Aussie selectors asked langer about his opinion about opener spot and asked him what do you say? Langer grabbed the offer in 2 hands and became a successful opener.
Same case with yuvi, Selectors and senior mgmt should sit with him and say, guy you r in a prime form and say you dont have a place in the middle order atleast in the next 2 years. Now its ur choice, do you want to waste ur time sitting in the bench or wanted to come as an opener? He may lack technique. But if he works hard, nothing is impossible.
Selectors, BCCI and senior mgmt have to deal with this situation in a professional manner. Nothing is impossible and anything can be worked if the people have will to do. If sehwag can be successful as a test opener with minor adjustments, why cant Yuvi?
again once he fails, people shouldnt make him a scape goat.

Krishna, MRF pace foundation is absolute waste in india. you are right, we have no pace attack. After kapil we had srinath, now indian pace attack is zero, god save.....

MRF pace academy is doing a decent job. Due to that only, we got so may fast bolwers. But only problem seem to be injuries.

Dinesh kaarthik cant be so bad in 2 matches. he averages 45 in Englad and had a teriffic 2007. failing in 2 matches doesnt make him a bad player. Everybody will have their own bad and good games, the point to take is howmuch talent he has and I am sure he will come good very soon.

He doesnt seem to have a lot of batting talent. He didnt remind me that he was in midas touch in the previous tour. If you take the case of Laxman, even when he's not in the best form he used to hit the ball well but not Dinesh.

so wts ur point? Sehwag is also not a regular opener, but have been made a good opener. Dinesh is the future talent. He might not have an extreeme talent, but knows his own limitations and plays well according to wt he has. failure in 2 matches dont make him a bad player.

pathan is not in the playing 14 now. he should have been selected when RP and Sreeshanth got injured. Not sure from hwere this guy munaf comes up always. Looks lazy in the field, lacks aggression while bowling and always seems to be lost some thing on the filed. ur team looks extreemly OK. I feel sorry for dinesk kaarthik.
