RE:BCCI's Titanic sinks.........

Whichever way you look at it, BCCI are in a real fix...Pawar & Co are well and truly exposed...
I don't understand who are the rebels? The 'money-hungry' politicians who are doing nothing for the country and still occupying ministerial berths and still controlling criket or well respected ex-cricketers who want to do what they can do the best. It is time someone told these Draculas to stop sucking blood from every possible 'opportunity' and have some humanity to spare 'genuine' sports.

well respected cricketers? who among the ICL group is well respected mate. everyone is after money stop getting so sentimental.
Though half of the pakistan teams. It is Good News for Indian Cricket lovers. In the Up coming series as pakistan Indian can win the Series both ODI AND TEST in india which is to be between Nov 2 2007 to dec 2007.
Indian government should ban on BCCI.Why it is not supporting to ICL? If they support to that then it is good for indian cricket. Why they supporting to English County Cricket? If some one trys to brings cricket matches like English County in our country, what wrong with that? And it will better for indian people.

Good point Dost, on why BCCI allows Indian players to play English county cricket and will ban them from playing a domestic league like ICL. That shows their turf-protection mentality. ICL, though it is starting with washed-up cricketers, can develop to produce a great domestic championship that potentially... 1. is interesting for people to watch. Now Star cricket carries every domestic Twnety20 match in England, since Ranji and Duleep trophy matches are of an archaic format 2. allows selectors to compare players on a level playing field 3. take the state/region barriers promoted by BCCI's current format. If a good pace bowler from Karnataka does not have room in local team, he can be booked by another team that needs him.
For the record, I hope ICL really intends to be commercial (and not political like BCCI). Intention to make money by a commercial venture is a much better enabler of meritocracy than self-preserving political agendas.

You'll have Chepauk Stadium in Chennai, who are as a Spectators don't have any international matches at all.

If they can spend millions to set up ICL, it would not be a problem to make good stadia to host their matches. If that happen that would be great for the country. We will get modern stadia and many new cities also will get it.

As bcci is a money making machine for ICC it will not divorce bcci. If icl offers more money to icc naturally the table will turn...

KAPIL DEV is not full cricket . ICL rebell due to its opinion and their experience about governing cricket body in India BCCI. It may turn like Channel 7 (AUSIES) team who can stop him tell the Indians. ICL is Jelousy aproach towardd BCCI which is formed by civilized and capable man and his capable jelousy

1].I think indian government should ban on both i.e.BCCI as well as ICL and form a new indian board which would work for our country,s entertainment. 2]Why BCCI not supports to ICL? If it supports to that then in India also we can see cricket matches like English county.

no friend but bcci will pay more to their domestic players for ranji matches and now the selection system of bcci will drastically improve. now the selectors will select according to merit and players like agarkar etc etc will not be given chances again and again.ICL is goin to reform indian cricket

No.It is good for Indian cricket.Do you think really lost first round of world cup due to fair play? Selection is based on commission to selectors and in turn to bookies .ICL is indeed needed right now to bridle BCCI's headweight and to select best and raising new talents in India . Games like Volleyball ,Hockey are dying due to non professionalism and lack of patronage.Let the Zee sports also support other games and youngsters.
