Is Rahul The real boss???
by Gautam Ganguly on Nov 01, 2006 01:38 PM

Rahul has to be more assertive in his opinion and on field should show more emotions and like Ganguly must keep involving himself with the players rather than remain in his own place and brood by himself.
He must take on field opinion from senior players like Sachin, Kumble & Sehwag.
Overall he cannot remain in the shadows of Greg Chappel . He must assert himself on the choice of the team as he is solely answerable for the results of the games.

by ram on Oct 31, 2006 12:54 AM

rahul is playing for india for the past 10 yrs still he is not confident on himself he always try to take the help of others before n after commenting so that he always try to b in the safe hands, its works out for our indians but he is playing for the country so he has to justify it rather than thinking for anything else he can do the real justice if he is little more strong, I wish he will catch my words.

No Rahul is not d BOSS
by Hadi on Oct 29, 2006 10:07 PM

Hi there,

I don't believe or even think that Rahul The Great Wall of Indian Batting is BOSS of the TEAM INDIA. Instead Greg Chappel and the selectors are the BOSS of TEAM.

I believe, in the name of strategy the entire team is made to suffer as they dont have any fix role or even the battin positions.......

Dont U all think that there should be specialist batsman at No. 3? Just in case there is a requirment, we can use anyone as Pinch Hitter.......but it is not madatory to use Pathan.......... Rather Dhoni, Yuvi or Raina can be used........

I think India should play with the teams like Bangladesh, Zimbabwe or Kenya n see if they can really Win any matches...

Bye

Dravid is weak
by pico on Oct 26, 2006 10:21 PM

Dravid is a weak captian. He doesnt have the aggressive/ royal dominating style like Saurav ganguly. Dravid is submissive and a stooge of Chappel.

About Dravid

Rahul is a wonderful player but very bad captain compare with Saurav.
Saurav was a very good captain and a player if he get a chance in Indian team.

Is Rahul Dravid the boss
by Kuntal on Oct 19, 2006 11:10 AM  | Hide replies

As per Mr. Ravi Shatri (though he was a Dravid lover in recent past),'Dravid should stand up and say he is the boss and that he controls matters. He should get an eleven of his choice.'
But here the most valuable question is arising,'Has Rahul Dravid any backbone?', because that backbone is very much required to stand up. I think Mr.Dravid doesnot have that.
'Why should Mr. Dravid standup?' He is only thinking about his post(Captaincy). At any cost he wants to retain that. And for that, chamchagiri (to Chappel and BCCI both)is the most easiest way.
Now India in 5th rank as per ICC ranking. Before World Cup they should come in 8th (Only infront of Zimbabawe and Bangladesh. Then Mr. Dravid and Chappel will achieve there target.

Well said.
1. In the international Creicket arena ondate, the only side that can give a real competition to Australia is teh Indians.
2. Man to man comparison shall keep Indian Batting above australians and the bowling much below but an averaging of the two shall place both the teams more or less at par with each other.
3. Greig Chappell came to Indian Cricket just so that he could ensure that Australians had no threat from India any more.
4. He has singlehandedly succeeded in demoralising the players and the whole team and ever since he came in, Indian team's southward journey has not stopped.
5. The spineless showing of India in recently concluded tornaments including the Champion's trophy bears testimony to above.
The net result is that none of the three major cricketing countries in the subcontinent with the larget number of followers in teh whole world, have made it to the knockout round of the champions trophy.
I also rate the extremely high level of corruption in Cricket organisation in India as responsible for the state of affairs today. Can any one please explain what is Sharad Pawar doing at the helm of Indian Cricket???

Is Dravid the Boss
by Jomesh George on Oct 09, 2006 12:45 PM

Sir,
Compared to former captains like Sourav Rahul Dravid is not so powerful in team selection, decision making or controlling the team.Coach Chappel shows his dominance in all aspects and Dravid completely agree with his experiments and decisions. It is very clear that not Dravid but Greg Chappel is the boss.
