It seems the stubborness of the Indian coach has rubbed the Selectors' shoulder.Indian cricket is making a mockery of itself.Hard to digest that a veteran of over 100 Test Matches,the current chief selector has overlooked Powar,Gautam Gambhir,VVS Laxman and Ganguly.In my view this team is not up to the level of SA nor they can win the Worldcup in 2007.
Certainly this isnt the best indian team ever. The team lacks the killing instinct, so characteristic of the ganguly era. The batting, particularly the middle order looks fragile and the bowling lacks teeth. The induction of zaheer and kumble seems a welcome move. but in the absence of a genunie pace bowler, it wont add a firey charm. Besides, the sheer failure of Pathan and Dhoni, will always rankle the cricketing hearts.
Surely further thought is to be placed on proper experimentations, with pruning off the non-performers. If india may learn something from the Ganguly episode is that cricketing places are not to be taken for granted.
yes, selecting Anil Kumble is good decission took by selectors.and at the same time the should include GAnguly instead of Wasim Jaffer.because we need to streghern the middle order batting.
This the best team for SA if BCCI wants to loose badly in SA. Majority of fans ask for Sourav come back. Instead of insulting him by giving chances in local matches, he should be given complete series chance in SA. None of our opinion is going to count. I'm significantly loosing interest in cricket. Neverthless, Dada, you will remain a Hero in our heart.
