The Indian Team Selected for the SA tour is certainly not the best... But it is Okay... They should have choosen VVS Lakshman in the place of S.Raina & Balaji in the place of Irfan.. Both these players deserve atleast one more chance... The Batsman like VVS who is having good experience would have been an added advantage for the team...
this is not the best team. the team should also include VVS Laxman and Sarouv Ganguly. I think Ramesh Powar should be in the team to assist Harbajan and Kumble. Then I also think Balaji should be recalled. There should be a mix of experience and youngsters to form a good team. Then, Chappel should be removed as soon as possible from the coach post before he does more damage.
No. even this team may not able to win against the teams like kenya bangladesh and zimbabwe .The player like Raina, Sehwag with repeated failures are getting chances when the classy stylish innings builder Very Very Special Laxman is completely forgotten on the pretext of fitness and fielding ability . Will the selectors judge the fitness of Laxman by eyesight only! what is the role of John Gloster as team physiotherapist?
Leaving V.V.S.Laxman is not a right step taking by the selection board. The comment made by D.B.Vengsarkar that in youngsters there is no good players is a foolish one. Is he thinking only wasim jafar is the only good player or since he is from bombay may be he is showing partiality. Laxman had very good record over Australia. If he is not fit then what about the other seniors who are making only 10 runs and 15 runs.
i dont understand the working of indian administration and specially the coach if the players would be changed so frequently then how will they become consistent also no experieced fast bowler is present in the indian team whom india can rely upon in crucial situations. what happened to zaheer , nehra. why were they thrown out of team . how can such young and inexperinced bowlers handle such a team like australia i think that the coach has to sit and chalk out the stucture of a final indian cricket team which would remain unchanged for about some months only then can the players be stable and can perform well.
I think the team that should be selected till the world cup should be
1.Sachin ( he will be there whoever say whatever) 2.Ganguly (can be given another chance if we have given Sehwag so many chances) 3.Dravid 4.Yuvraj 5.Kaif ( MAN!! he might get out in 0 or don't bowl but he does save crucial 20 to 25 runs for us) 6.Dhoni 7.Pathan 8.Munaf 9.Harbhajan 10.Powar 11.Sreesanth 12.Laxman ( he can do some good for sure) 13. Kumble (he can be good at times. Those goodies have always been on India's favour) 14.Balaji 15.Zaffer.
Make them play together till the end like a team. The way they played under Wright. I am sure there will be many surprises, pleasant surprises, for us from this team
To hell with cricket... I think a bunch of fools have selected another bunch to play in SA... Invest in soccer and it will give better results... Right now we have a bunch of models playing cricket... hey venky why not take Milind Soman and Arjun Rampal... It will give you more publicity...
