Vested interests of some former players are likely there behind Greg's deamand of exclusion of Sourav. Those players are suffering from jealousy as they do not have fat statistics in their career. They were all ordinary players (though they feign to be gret players). If not instigated by them, Greg did not dare to become so arrogant. Anyway, let's see!
this is utter injustice to the spirit of the game. Sourav's exclusion during his loss of form was justifiable, but not the present turn of events. Personal vendata shud not be given any space.
The point is not whether Chappel wanted saurav or not the point is why are they listening to him. even rahul Dravid. I fail to understand why he is acting like that. Rahul in my opinion is brilliant batsman but a failure as a captain. His non agressive attitude cost India this match in karachi. After getting a hat trick in the 1st over and reducing pakistan to 39 for 6 we are looking at defeat. I am sure a Ganguly would have been in this position he would have had pak by the throat. they would have 50 all out.
If Sourav was in-effective and non-performer,why include him in the team.Throw him out. Do not show any mercy. I want to ask greg, what are your parameters of selection.Sachin has not been performing since a long long time.Just one fifty or one 100 to break a record, does not make one a performer.Did ever Sachin assist Team India win a match (take 5 years down the line).What incredible he has done for the team for the last 5 years.Why is he still in the team.Just because he is mild & speaks softly with Greg. I'm completly agree with it that sachin is now burden on indian team..one inning can not make great players.infact i have never seen sachin winning the game for india. he will score 50 or 100 & at crucial stage will play stupid shot & will give game to tail enders to handle...Remember the chennai test when we need only 17 runs to win & how he played....He is never on the crease when india wins the game. Look at sourav ..in as many matches he played a good innnig ..he led india to winning shot... He took indian players from bottom to the top of team india...Infact indians never palyed as team before...he is the captain who formed the team india.
Why blame Chapell for the exclusion of Ganguly.Its the vested interest of some politicians and some inefficient players, who rules the game.Chapell is just a voice of those crooks.Days are not far when Team India will be better known as "TEAM CONG-I" or "TEAM CPI-M" or "TEAM JANATA DAL" etc etc.
Indian Team really have caption ,I think chapel act like a both Coach ,as well as Caption (cum selector) it very worst .Chappell may push down Indian teamBeware of Chappell
A gritty 34 a strong partnershio vis a vis poor performances of top batesmen plus a stand breaking wicket by Sourav have slpped om the nasty face of Greg! The dirty vicious nexus led by Greg did not select Sourav in a test when the peach was for batsmen. In this test he was just selected to take a chancee that if he performs bad he will be doomed. But let us garland Greg with shoes, the way Sourav proved Greg and his chamchas wrong!!
