Give Ganguly a chance!
by Avinash Fernandes on Jan 29, 2006 11:50 PM

Our indian selectors are as worst as the indian politicians. C'mon, stop the politics and give a chance for fare play for the players who are probably a bit out of form. If that's the case, then why are rest of the players like Sachin still playing in the team when they are not in a proper form. Stop cricket and sit at home! That's the best you selectors can do justice to the team!

the team selected is pitty good, but i dont now what the selector do with agarker by picking him, now the combination of pathan, zaheer khan, rp sing is pitty good and had also selected sree santh and i dont think there is no need of agarker their. the exclusion of ganguly should have done it vary early.

ganguly should be in our one day squad
by neha on Jan 29, 2006 10:07 PM  | Hide replies

Sourav Ganguly was yet again not picked for the one-day series against pakistan which is a shame...coz he is a player with great calibre and experience...it is disheartning to see that such a great captain and player is finding it difficult to retain a permanent place in the team ...which i feel he should be given!! PLEASE BRING HIM BACK!!

Great!!
by Digs on Jan 29, 2006 09:36 PM

This is the best time for Ganguly to prove the selectors wrong in dropping him. In the fag end of 1st day of 3rd test, he appeared in very aggresive mood, and that speaks trouble for Pakistan. Known for his aggresion, its time for Ganguly to take the fight in the Paki camp singlehandedly, along with the support from Yuvi, Dhoni and Great Irfan Pathan. He is known to give fitting reply by his actions, and this is the time. Common Dada, hit out at the selectors with your bat now. Good luck n Let Team India Spirit win from now on... nothing more.

Good luck India, Keep going India.

Ganguly kept out
by Dr.Srijit Das on Jan 29, 2006 09:23 PM

Yes the selectors have betrayed the nation and also its valliant warrior like Saurav Ganguly who is battling to save the Indian innings in the Karachi test. What was the hurry to announce the team on the very day when the services of Saurav was desperately required? Shameless selectors chose to have the benefit of his innings on one hand and try to ignore him on the other hand.Where is so called Bhupinder Singh the national selector, who while watching Ranji Trophy in Kolkata said that Saurav would be considered for the one day series? A bunch of liers and irresponsible persons are playing with the interest of the country. The conspiracy to ignore Saurav has come out in the open and we do not need any more reasons to believe such. The selectors should have tried Saurav in one dayers and then decided on his fate but they have to act in haste and also dance to the tune of team management. You humiliate a previous captain by making him sit outside the sidelines even when Greg Chappel says that Saurav is not a player to be kept in reserve bench, make him bring pads for a player in a test match, do not give him a chance to show his talent. The country should protest against such acts.

Ganguly

Everytime Ganguly is omitted from Team India, it becomes an issue, wonder why?
Players in the past have at some stage been left out and new ones included, that is how teams are made everywhere.
Now tomorrow onwards.Calcutta will statr protesting, more so if Ganguly does well in the Karachi test

Indian Squad for ODI
by Puneet Nanda on Jan 29, 2006 09:06 PM

Hey!

I'm not gonna get into the Ganguly issue simply coz I bleive thats its a strange decision to put it mildly and by all expectations, would be questioned by the media in totality.

But What I wanna ask is the sanity behind announcing the squad on the very first day of a test. That too before looking into their performance. Why the hell did they wait for this moment if the performance in the test series was so in-consequential? I mean for all my money I'm sure if the squad was decided before the 1st test match it wouldnt have been much different. The lame guys are just making a stupid fool of us by all this crap.

saurav ganguly, india's greatest captain and a fine player has been betrayed again.i feel that he should be given a fair bit of final chance before dropping him.it is quite evident that he is not getting an enough opportunity.if we fail to honour the greats,we can never succeed in life.
