When would these heros live up?
by theWiz on Feb 02, 2006 02:38 AM

When the heck these so called national heroes or icons live up to their repuration!!
Look at the other batsman like Ponting and Lara, when they are in form they plunder runs with consistency and heck when not in form, the deliver under challenge.

All Pakistan lost-series, has seen rolling some heads in Indian teams!! Will selectors have guts to chop some heads? OR they will make Ganguly the scape goat of this defeat, despite his grit in batting and disciplined bowling (much better than regular bowlers in terms of line and length)..!!

India's loos to pak
by madhav on Feb 02, 2006 02:09 AM

This was another pathetic performance by Team BCCI. They lacked a bowler an the coach wanted. Because of lack of a bowler they let Pak made 236 in 1st innings.

And then even with anextra batsman we could not reach the moderate total.

Either Greg Chappel should leave the team management or the non performers and underachivers be axed.

Ganguly has now become a gangrin for the Indian cricket.Ganguly and Sachin both should be dropped from the team. Tohell with their past records. These two guys has no future. More they stay with team more they spoil others.

Indian performance
by Harish KS on Feb 02, 2006 02:01 AM

Well, What can be said of our 'great' line up of batsmen?? Our batsmen are just no good, if the wicket assists the bowler more, than the batsmen. This is where Asif/Razzaq made their hay. I think, the true guts of a batsmen is on a pitch which is partial to the boweler than the batsmen. Our boys need to prove their mettle here. -

why we always see records not the facts.....
by arfat ahmed on Feb 02, 2006 01:25 AM

dear friends ,
have u ever think what is the difference b/w INZY and SACHIN. one has 39 oneday hundred out of which only 20 odd are in winning while other has 25 test centuries (in which leave 3 last centuries due to pitch conditions of faisalabad) in 17 pakistan is winner!!! see in TEST! what a player! he plays always when team is in crisis as is his name inzy is crises man who is crises man in india (may be dravid at times!) most of the friends who were posting must have seen brilliant inzy inning in a lost match of india pakistan \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s 1st odi match in karanchi 2004.
can u give example of any indian chase of grater than 300 in which sachin has even crossed 60-70.
leave 3 innigs (2 sharzah one worldcup against pak!)
see his record he has more avg than inzy and more runs
what is the need if team cannot win???
so dear friends see the difference b/w ponting , inzy and our grat SACHIN!!!!
ya gunguly is poor fellow ,the board should give him 3 series after striping off captancy
and have to see his performance without such a drama
but what a pity on indian politics or i should say
foolishness of system!!!

DID THEY PLAY
by tanay on Feb 02, 2006 01:17 AM

My opinion!straight up.Pakistan played worth a win.Its not that Indians are not capable of winning but its simple "see the line with which their bowlers bowled, the pitch map of their's was amazing "whereas Indians seems to tired up, not trying too many thing as if accepting the fact that there is no help for bowlers. They are never able to beat Yusuf and Younis.
The batting deptt. no doubt both the team TIT FOR TAT.What India should realize is that Dravid is their key batsman. One who could stand against all odds. His decision to open was very brave but unfortunately not the right one.two reasons
1>ball is new, bowlers are fresh, frame of mind has suddenly changed from previously bowling to now batting.
2>middle order was trembling and need someone of his calibre when suddenly 2 wickets fall.
Finally i would suggest Indian team to use left and right hand combination in bating as well as bowling.
One right hand bowler could have turned the things.
And it was not bad enough to give Ganguly or Yuvraj chance to open so that bowlers like Asif finds hard to catch up a consistent line.
Anyways well played Pakistan and all the best to both teams for one dayers.
GOD let my msg reach.

A Typical Indian Defeat
by Bikash on Feb 02, 2006 12:20 AM

It was yet another typical Indian style of defeat that we have become used to, forget & forgive ourselves(the Indian team) as it was too tough a battle. But, these are the real battles which shows what character a team possesses. All Big Wigs fail to deliver at the time thats most crucial and history repeats.
India does have a few good bowlers, but in my lifetime i havent seen potential Match turners in our team that champion countries like Australia, Pakistan & Sri Lanka have.
Alas,to produce a McGrath, a Shoaib Akhtar, a Vaas, or an Akram, more than a BILLION is not enough..!!!

A fact is proven again
by Michael on Feb 02, 2006 12:12 AM

The manner in which India lost the test, particularly the way Indian battingline up (supposed to be the best in world) played proves once again that India does well ONLY against weak opposition. They very rarely do well against quality opposition which they did against Australia some time back. But overall, the best of Indian team is no match for good of other teams. Keep aside the test rankings that pretend to show that the opposition and conditions have been considered.
India beat Sri Lanka and see .. Sri Lanka is not doing good against anyone. India beat Pakistan when they were young and rebuilding the team. India beats Zimbabwe regularly. But when it comes to good opposition, Indian greats CANNOT perform! This is the fact.
