No surprises ,Colnel(vengsarkar) got the tele call from big Bosses and he had to cancel Ishant's flight. God father nahi hai is bande ka and Indian team consists of very few actual players normally few seats are reserved for BCCI staff relatives/friends so Ishant Bhai lage raho Munna Bhai. Is desh mein he aisa hota hai.
Does Ishant has a powerful Godfather? Whatever may be, such whimisical decisions will adveresely affect the young man's morale. Why the decision was taken ? Is he really sucha prodigious talent that he needs to be fast-tracked into Indian side? We have C.Pujara scoring loads of run now. Should he be drafted in the place of Virendra Sehwag?
I think its a bad decision to send Ishaan to SA.The selectors are making the same mistake..they had brought in Pathan,Patel also into the team like this when they were so young and hadnt played much at domestic level.Though they performed well initially,over a period,chinks started appearing in their play and now Patel is already sidelined and Pathan's future looks uncertain.I think they should first give Ishaan good exposure at domestic level.Its js his first season.Let him mature with the failures and success here.Then we can take him to the next level.Age is on his side,so it wud be better to wait for 1-2 years rather than throwing him amongst the wolves now which may dent his confidence for ever!!!
