yuvraj is not fit to be there in the team simply because he has some match-winning performances under his belt.when rahul dravid was dropped due to slow scoring rate,in 1999-00 why should yuvraj be continued for not scoring at all.it only show how deep-rooted is regional-quota system,similarly..sreesanth has an domestic avg of 29 or so..he should be considered for dropping as well..
It is good that Kaif is back but V.Rao and Yadav deserved 2-3 chances more at the expense of Yuvraj (Bad opinion- Kicked out for few matches as few writers wrote)and Sachin (Sachin must be rested, must give chance to others as he is a bastman of class and can fit any time anytime.
But.....
The real problem lies in our batsman adapting to foreign conditions and pithces. Yuvi and Kaif have proved time and again whereas Raos and yadavs are new and if sent to Australia and England they would fail, surely... They can play flat pitces so time must be given to them in domestic arena. Right now, Yuvi and Kaif are our super heroes. They have won for us matches and we must not forget that.
I m sure Rao and Yadav will mature with time and i m not against giving chances to them. It must be done one by one in one series and then another formula...
Dhoni is exception to us, we had no keeper so 100% chances will come his way coz he is gr8 player and luck is on his side. Zaheer, Kumble and Laxman shud also be called back and given chance, they are good players.
But plz keep Ganguly away, he will again tear the fabric of unity in Team India.
It is very discouraging for the youngster to get omitted from the squad even after performing well. At the same time the so called "experienced" pampered boy Yuvraj is failing consistently and still retained. Unfortunate for the Indian cricket.
Indian selector have done good thing to recall Kaif. Sepectors should have changed Kaif either with Yuvraj or with Sehvag. Sehvag has failed in the last five ODIs.
He should be shown door for atleast few ODIs.
During the match no player should be allowed to attend modelling session.
