Adam Gilchrist is destructive, but may not be the best as he does not face the economical and accurate Aussie bowlers. Given the dominance and consistency of Andrew Flintoff, I think he is the most dangerous batsmen as of now. However, he faces competition from his own teammate, Kevin Pieterson.
You better check your statsics Brian Lara Avg is 41.94, Strike rate is 79.50 PieterSon deserve place with Average 162.25 and strike rate 104.84, even though he is only under 15 matches old.
in my view afridi is more destructive than any other batman in the world.he has the credit of being the fastest century maker in odis.though not succeeded in being consistent,on the day of his with a bit of luck he can rip apart any bowling attack.in the odi series with india,he blasted every bowler which made pakistan to win the series
Dear all, I fully agree that Adam Gilchrist is the most dangerous batsman in one dayers. He is dangerous against all the team in the world and others like Sachin, Lara, Sehwag & Afridi are not best against all the team. Good luck, Mr.Adam Gilchrist.
Well, the list displays some of the awesome strokemakers of the current crop , but there is one man who can give them a run for their money.......... u guessed it right....... Kevin P Pietersen. This lad has arrived and is here to stay. Ask the South Africans, and for that matter the Aussies too, for they have felt in just thier first encounter, the prowess of this man. He is doing it, and doing it consistently. He has got the talent as well as the confidence, and if u look at his career average and strike rate so far, u will be spared for beleiving that it surely will come down as he playes more, but for now, both his strike rate and average seem to be increasing with every match he plays. Not often do u see an Australian attack, which is by far, the best in the business, taken to the cleaners in such a manner. Truly awesome. I am sure if u ask the bowlers around the world, the same question after 1 year, this one name will be right up there with the best. The only concern from the critics here is , how this man shapes up in Test cricket. Let the Ashes be over..... and maybe we might have an answer to that as well.......
