We the INDIAN
by Manoj Khatod on Jan 21, 2004 07:33 PM

We the INDIAN some how always believe that:

1. If a son of a sucecsful father come up in life it is because of cheating.
2. If a company make good profit ( read reliance) they are doing frauds
3. If our cricket team is doing good, it is just a fluke.
4. If we say the economy is booming there are double no of people pridctuing the slow down is just next corner.
5. Adn top of that..if we are powerful. we say NO we are not it is the other guy who is week!!!

Cheer up guys, the glass is half ful...not half empty

A critique regarding India's recent one day performances
by Ankur Seth on Jan 21, 2004 01:14 AM

I have been an avid cricket fan and a staunch Indian supporter for a decade now. I can't say I have played too much cricket or that I am an expert in the matter at all but there are some things that should and are worth noticing.I would like to point out that your observation about the Indian team relying less on singles and instead lookin to score boundaries all the time was indeed correct. They have improved that but i still think a few things need to be sorted out. Starting with the bowling, I think they experiment too much in the first 15 overs and instead shud be trying to dry runs up with good length and a straight line, the Australians hate getting tied down and invariably lose a wicket when tied. The fielding is still pathetic, Ashish Nehra and Saurav being misfielding coaching manuals.I hope the coach is told to look into this if he can't see that. The batting I think still tends to fritter away if Tendulkar doesn't fire. Mind you 300 is fast becoming a norm not an aberration, in my opinion Yuvraj needs a promotion ahead of Laxman or Dravid, no offense to these wonderful Test batsmen , one day cricket is different. This is all constructive criticism. Catch you again...
