What credit you want ???
by Dhiren on Oct 01, 2003 12:09 PM

Our team cannot win a test series abroad and they want credit for the home series win! Their techniques are so poor that other teams dish out green tops. The teams who win abroad can claim the credit of winning at home, rest is inconsequencial.

More work less talk .......

I think Indian team shld talk less and show the Indian cricket fans by winning away mactches.
Home matches no excuses at all. Good record at home is not enuff for an international cricket team.
We all witnessed how Indian team played the world cup final against the Aussies. It was supposed to be a one day match but we let the aussies get away with the test total. What a wonderful away performace? We all will remember that until we die, wont we?

Winning at home DOES count!
by Sukanto on Sep 28, 2003 08:43 AM

If the Australians and South Africans can get credit for winning at home on fast, bouncy tracks why should the Indian cricketers not be entitled to some credit for winning on the turning tracks back home? This is rather puzzling - even Steve Waugh, the captain of the mighty Australian Test team acknowledged that winning in India against India was like conquering Mt. Everest - nothing could top it! So why don't we Indians be a bit more forthcoming when it comes to uttering a few words of praise for our own players!

Performance abroad
by Madhu on Sep 16, 2003 01:25 PM

Good teams win both at home and abroad. Even Sri lanka has done it, though not in the recent past. So, whay are Indian cricketers always cribbing about doing well abroad. They are professionals now, with loads of time and money to do their jobs well. Even highly experienced guys like Srinath, kumble, Ganguly and not least, Mr. Tendulkar, seem to wilt under pressure. Its good that the recent wins came through young guns like Yuvi and Kaif. The bowlers also, Zaheer and Nehra seem to have a better grip of things, though they flopped in the World Cup final... but then where were the older heads to bring sanity to things?? They were performing worse??

Guys, learn to win abroad and then the credits will flow... Till then, be happy with the lakhs and crores u get from adverts. Fans will wait for the real thing...

Best of luck.

You do not get credit for winning at home
by znura on Sep 15, 2003 11:04 PM

because none of us (adults) get credit for crawling. We all got the credit when we were babies. So not getting credit is more due to our respect and the new scale we have for you. Improvise the away performance. Win at home at the pitches made for pace attack. Credits are on the way.

Winning
by sanjay on Sep 15, 2003 08:01 PM

What kind of credit you guys expect?

You loose many a match overseas and make personal wealth and want Indian public to take the burden of handling your tax defaults.

Why cant we stict to winning games and get some thing done.

You are given a coshy job you are given liberal endorsements, you are given enough gifts what India gets a shame!!!!!

Win a series of matches and give a solid performance instead dismal deals.

No credit for winning at home

Surely the bank balances reflect the credit-They are lucky that there no is debit for losing abroad.
Not a single TEST series win overseas since Sachin,Saurav,Rahul,Srinath and Kumble have come together in the 90's-not even against Zimbabwe in 2 outings-Sorry for those who enjoy demi-god status
I believe the performance overseas in Test matches is a matter of great disappointment for die-hard fans and one should hang their head in Shame
