WHY NOBODY TALKS ABOUT BAD UMPIRING ???
by AB on Dec 30, 2003 06:08 PM

Why all of you blame India for the defeat and turn a blind eye to all the bad umpiring decisions gone in the favor of AUS. Ponting was given not out in first innings and went out to make another 150 or so more runs.Hayden was given not out in 2nd innings and won the match for AUS.Hayden and Waugh were also not given out in first innings...What the hell is going on??? Akash was given wrong out in 2nd innings...Why just blame India..Blame the partisan umpires too..

evenly matched series
by Ravindran on Dec 30, 2003 05:27 PM

What happened in 2001 in india is continuing in Australia. India-Australia test series is now turning to be Hi-tech. Both teams are playing high class cricket and a treat to watch. From the very first ball of the series to last ball so far, gave us tremendous entertainment and enjoyment. But, the most disappointing matter is quality of umpiring. Otherwise a lively series and hope to continue in Sydney also.

My salutations to World Champions
by atik karedia on Dec 30, 2003 03:49 PM

After defeated Indian Team by 9 wickets, what I should say about Ausies. Nothing, but only I can say that they are WORLD CHAMPION.

My salutations to Steve and his team. We always miss you Steve. You have done great job since so many years. This is your last series and I wish you all the best for your future. Really you are great fighter and I should say that I have not seen great fighter like you after Great Javed Miyadad of Pakistan. Now India has created new fighter. I hope that World Cricket knows the name of that fighter. Yes, he is Rahul Dravid. Sorry to all Sachin fans, but he is not in my list of great fighters. Yes, he is great player but not fighter. He always fails to prove himself when Indian Team is in crisis and under pressure. However he always performs well when Indian Team is not under pressure. According to me, He is always trying hard to achive personal milestones and also money. Nothing else, with great sorrow I am saying this for Sachin, who is great player but not great fighter. I repeat GREAT PLAYER but not GREAT FIGHTER.

If I hurt any Sachin fans, please forgive me. But this is truth and all of us should accept truth.

India Have Made Their Lives Harder
by K George on Dec 30, 2003 02:10 PM

Well, from Day One, the last 30 mins India Messed their chances of claiming the series. I mean Indian players "Shot" selection in both innings had alot to be desired.....I thought Sachin's second innings drive attempt was ambitious..and instead of him trying to play close to his body and get to a decent score to help the team, he had broken his concentration and lost his wicket.

plus the tail excepmt Patel, don't believe in staying it out, spending any lenght of time at the wicket. They haven't contributed when it is needed!

Bowling:- Anil Kumble does get 5 & 6 wicket halls but the runs conceeded has to be taken into concideration also!! I mean when he starts to get his wickets Australia are already in the driving seat and are going for runs and in the process loses their wickets.

Nehra just is too lazy, if it is a good day for him he bowls like Wasim Akram, a bad day for him he bowls like my Dad, in the backyard. and of late Nehra has been bowling like my Dad. Not to mention my Dad feilds much better than him, I bet most of our Dads and grand dads would do a better job on the feild than Nehra. He needs to be sorted out in his feilding part of his game.
