Stats
by Raghu on Dec 05, 2003 09:17 PM

Hey guys ,

Keep ur stats to ur selves. If u go by stats then touring any country is a waste as the stats would show that we loose 90% of the times. So do u want the team to ban going on tours and just play the home games. And why do we need tp play those games too since we know that we are going to win those(again 90% chances). According to ur logic the Indian team should stop playing cricket.

Have sense while u write an article. I have seen rediff being harsh on Ganguly.Just don't write an article saying due tio his call the team is at a loss.

Stupid logic
by The India Fan on Dec 05, 2003 08:53 PM

Theories and past statistics cannot always be a guide for our actions. Old trend has to be broken for a new trend to emerge. In other words, there is always a possibility for something new.

The writer's logic on why India cannot win is stupid

and childish.

REDIFF HAS A RESPONSIBILITY TO NOT TO ENCOURAGE SUCH ABSURD ARTICLES.

Verdict is in
by Yasho on Dec 05, 2003 08:41 PM

India cant not win, Indian batsmen can not bat, Indian Bowler can not bowl. Then why the heck we are at the level we are. Please stop these negative comments and start supporting your team. Negative comments or unporportional blown ups dont make one a good reporter. Let me ask you who gave you the authority to pass a judgment on experts( Best 11 Indian Cricketers) you without having a day out in the sun. Yasho

Stop discouraging!
by Chakrdeep on Dec 05, 2003 08:14 PM

For once please stop discouraging the indian players atleast publicly. It really does have a huge impact on their confidence. It does not matter whether our team wins a test match or doesn't. What matters is their attitude. What would you do if people start criticizing your work in your field every single day and publish it in the newspaper. Why do people judge a team's calibre based on previous records?

So sadistic
by Sandy on Dec 05, 2003 07:42 PM

I pity the author of this article. Why so much of a sadistic attitude, why can't we back the team in the time of crisis or bad performance? Why can't we encourage them? Don't you guys realize the strength of your pen?

Follow the examples of the foreign journalism, they don't let their team down, they back them up all the time.

Pathetic article.

Stats

Hello all,
Records and stats are meant to be broken.
Before 1996 Sharjah Oneday match against Pakistan
India had never scored 300 runs in One day match.
All countries including Zimbabwe had scored 300 runs.
Now India has scored 300+ runs more than 20+
occasions. India has succesfully chased 300+ on 5 or
more occasions.
Think positive and I am sure Ganguly has burning
desire of beating Australia in Australia.
I wish India will win one test at least.
Our wishes with you Ganguly and team.

India Winning The Brisbane Test
by Laks on Dec 05, 2003 07:21 PM

Well, I do agree that the chances of india winning the Brisbane Test is bleak, may be even close to impossible. But the reason quoted..that its because we have lost almost all the matches when we asked the other team to bat after winning the toss is STUPID. C'mon u are in the 21st century...

Exceptions create history
by Ravi gupta on Dec 05, 2003 07:05 PM

i don't think that stats will make any diffenece of the of the performence of the indian team. it is right that austrailia is mighty but they had lost series in india after winning the first test at bombay and lost the game at culcutta after giving follow-on to india. that time indian performed well and this time who know that indian can performe extraordinary and win the brisbane test for india.i hope so and good luck to india.
