It was 114 balls, not 155 balls. And India needed someone to play the anchor role and support Sehwag. Ganguly did extremely well.

Definiyely Shewag needed some support at other end, but that doesnot mean that ganguly should not rotate the strike.

You're right, but he did look like he was trying to rotate the strike but perhaps more time was needed to adjust to the wicket, and instead of playing slowly when approaching his century he came down the wicket showing intent to get on with things and got stumped. It shows he's a team player.

Come on pooja don't tell me that he was able to find gaps to rotate strike. Becos of his strokes limitations he was not able to score at a steady pace and thats the reason he tried to do something different and got out on 89. look at dhoni is same match, he started scoring from the moment he arrived to the crease, similarly, tendulkar & dravid scored run a ball. so if they acn score even Ganguly should be able to do that . As along with Sachin & dravid he also has scored 10000 runs. So what happened to him now.

i agree with u. He also must score at brisk pace.But remember that he has come as an opener and the ball is new and it is difficult to play in the early part of the innings.Once the ball has softened he also started to increase the pace of his innings SRT and Dravid have come at a time when the ball is older and softer.so u can consider that fact also
