I have gone through some of the messages on the discussion board and I am pretty pleased that most of us are wishing our team India that they would beat Srilanka, even after getting beaten by Bangladesh, some people are too sure that India would win, but a very few think we would lose.
I think Team India should not think too much about the statistics but go out there and play the game in good spirit. If we are asked to bat first, our team are capable of scoring 250 runs or maybe more. If we bowl first, we can get the opposition out for 230, provided we go in with 5 bowlers (3 quicks and 2 spinners). I am pretty sure we can chase 230 without too much difficulty. Well, it all depends upon what pitch is given for the team to play with and most importantly it depends upon Team India to do well and put in an extra effort to beat Srilanka.
Here in this discussion column we can only post our thoughts, ideas, the best 11 players, etc. The fact is that it all depends upon the 11 players who are going to represent India vs Srilanka. We all would come to know on the 23rd late night.
