India's Woes
by sachin godbole on Jun 13, 2009 11:45 AM   Permalink

Team India has a lot to worry before the game against England on 14th,the biggest being India's bowling despite playing 5 specalist bowlers.Ishant has not come to terms with 20-20 cricket and is very predictable with his bowling, bowling short of length every time he bowls. It would be great if Dhoni uses him as attacking bowler at start instead of using him in middle over's to curb the runs.

This is not the only concern for India as none of the bowlers are able to bowl yorker's in the death overs and conceeded a lot of runs against minnows like Bangladesh.I think replacing Irfan with Praveen kumar would be good bet for India as praveen is a smart bowler and has a lot of variations in his bowling and can bowl at death and is also handful with the bat.

India should go for an extra batsman as Dhoni looks completely out of sorts and fast bowlers not making any impact on the game despite the spinners doing the job for India. The possible option is to replace a spinner with a batsman as their are many part time spinners in Indian team which can be handful and yusuf doing the job of a regular spinner.

India has tough decisions to make in the next do or die match against England whether to have an extra batsman or think about it's bowling options again.I hope India will sort out the best possible combination for the next match and live up to the expectetions of the fans.
