The Hindu mentality is such, that it usually accepts anything without questioning its authenticity. The reason is that for several centuries the higher caste Brahmin has taught that the low caste indigenous Indian has no right to question any discrepancies in Hindu beliefs and mythology.

People who have lived a life guided by fanatical & violent philosophies, propagated by those who aim to kill in the name of God , normally find Hinduism as what you described. There is no system which offers more freedom to mankind other than Hinduism. You are yet to experience this.

Why the Hindu Gods did support violence???? while the other Gods of religion didnt support violence.
