Modern education, institution building was nothing unique in Nehru
by Tathagata Mukherjee on Mar 25, 2008 08:39 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Look at Dr SP Mukherjee, the top rightwing leader at that time.

He was most celebrated educationist, was VC of best university of Asia- the calcutta university- for over a decade. And contributed immensely to education, nation building.

Or look at Sardar/Rajaji- congress leaders- but modern in outlook.

SO WHAT NEHRU DID BY ESTABLISING IITs etc WAS NOT UNIQUE. LOTS OF LEADERS HAD THAT CAPABILITY TO DO THE SAME.

Most of the people here need a thorough reading of our History.
We have these great legacy of Henru left behind him for Indian to suffer
1) Kashmir problem
2) China war - 1962
3) Most expensive leader of all time - Spending Rs. 25000 per day. (This is close to more than 2 crores in current days).
4) He was more interested in his relation with Mount Batten's wife than doing anything for India.
5) We lost China war because he refused the support offered by USA.
6) More painful is his legacy, which is still continuing and ruining our country.
