It is a tragedy
by john santosh murala on Jun 16, 2008 04:10 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is an irony that on one hand India is forging ahead as a super power and on the other hand you hear of gross human rights voilation. Dr.Sen who was a gold medalist from CMC vellore has chosen a path which very few doctors choose.Having worked in a rural hospital for two years I do understand the challenges faced by medical professionals in these areas.Dr.Sen has devoted his entire life for the upliftment of the downtrodden. It is a difficult life. For those who sit in air conditioned offices it is difficult to understand the challenges of being a doctor in rural India. It is an irony that people like Kiran Bedi, Dr.Binayak sen etc have been recognised for their contributions outside of India... Many in India have never heard of Dr.Sen who but he has been an inspiration for many students to give up their lucrative urban lifestyle and serve in rural India. I have a strong faith in our constitution and I hope justice will prevail. We need to encourage doctors like Dr.Sen which will help more medical graduates to work in Rural India.

He is serving them with a particular ideology in mind - that of promoting maoism and naxalism. No citizen of India can indulge in such antinational activities and neither has the right to promote war against the nation

Sen is a gold medallist in championing for Naxalites, Maoists and assorted anti-Indian dirtbags. He should be caned everyday in the jail.
