A small rainfall in Mumbai (which is normal for this time of the year) has started making headlines with all news channels since last night. But it has been four days without fuel in Chennai. There are traffic jams across the roads. Petrol pumps are shut down & there are long queues outside the petrol bunks. Bus service is cut down by 30% even though authorities say they have sufficient diesel supply. There are no vegetables in the shop. The city is expected to come to a grinding Halt in the next 24 Hours & not one news channel has put this as their headline. If this had happened in Delhi /Mumbai there would be a non-stop telecast of the same. But it seems for the news that should have been the headline of every channel it has been relegated to only a fleeting mention on NDTV. Strange but even a Carla Bruni or Naomi Campbell/Paris Hilton get more coverage when they do something stupid. But a serious situation, which is developing into a major crisis, is being ignored. Will the so-called Indian news channels please wake up & question the authorities on this issue. It there is an oil glut it has to be for the entire country not only one city. Can Mr. Deora, Mr. Chidambaram or my esteemed neighbour Mr. Karunanidhi explain this situation to the general public of Chennai?

Well dude! First come here to see if the rainfall is really small... Try being stuffed in a packed suffocating train for hours or driving your car in flooded roads.. You can call it small because you don't have to face it! Just like I can call your Chennai fuel problem nothing because I don't have to face it!

Dear, I am brought up in Mumbai & know what it is when it rains in Mumbai.what I am trying to convey here is the indifference of the so called guardians of the society. The rains have started in Mumbai last night but this crisis is going on in chennai for the last 4-5 days. The only question I ask is is not chennai a city in this country that when there is such a huge crisis none of the so called TV channels are bringing it at the fore front. Stop fuel supply in Mumbai or delhi for two days & it will be the headlines in the news channels. My only question is why are the news channels keeping quiet when there is such a severe crisis in a part of this country or is chennai not considered to be a part of this country any longer?

This all is because Tamil people have wished not to be a part of India.. Whenever an Indian goes to TN, inspite of knowing english/hindi, no one is ready to help the people. and this is the truth which not only i, but all my friends have faced in TN. TN people are the worst in INDIA.

Once I had a courier service pick-up 1 tonne of consignment and i was infored they have sent MAT Vandi to collect the same in Tamilnadu.
Mat Vandi happens to be a bullock cart. It was shocking to see a Elbee man accomying the bullock cart.
