The nation is proud of these men who certainly will do anything at the cost ofr their lives to save the integrity and honour of the country from within and without. But the salary and perks they get is so low it is shameful. Look at what pour Ministers, MLAs, MPs and Corporators who get huge sums ofr money in various forms for the very little or no serevice they render for the common man.Their services should be utilized when law and order bnreaks down or in peaceful times in nation building activities. People should have once-in-a-while opportunities to9 mix with them so that camaraderie bulds up between the army and the citizens.Later on, whern they retire intheir early forties, soime ofr them can be taken to head state enterprises in the place of unqualified and stupid MLAs who will only encourage and corruption and bad ehics.
