Comparision should be made in terms of CTC and not just on lowest basic scale of an army officer. If one counts CTC just like MNC does, an army officer gets still heigher than a comman civilian. We can not overlook the lucrative facilities they get from government.I would say what they get in their acccount is just a part of big amount which should be calculated and should also be known to everyone.Than only a true comparision could be outlined.

if u think lucrative i would like to ask what is lucrative for army people the grocery which they get in canteen or the drinks they get in canteen ,how much grocery can a family use a family might nedd some 3 -4 soaps 3-4 washing powder 5-10 bottles of liquor a stale ration and these thing u think as lucrative for army men with a mere salry of 8000rs ,if u think that was so lucrative y dont u join army,u dont have the guts,i rmeber one of my friend who joined army and was poste in siachen he says he has loss of memorry bit he has forgotenb the good college days,might be due to the pressure of the envoriment.india is the only country i would say army men are treated like dogs in usa when a rmy men is seen theyacknowledge them by saying thanku sir for protecting us,but people like u kirti good for nothing just know to criticise the gr8 soldiers who protect us.if u have guts go and stay in khardungla minus 60degree where army men are posted for atleast 1 day.

Krishnan, u r really gettin very emotional....siachen .......siachen.........siachen..........wht nxt and remember always when u r on outdoor shooting den wht u get for it. whts ur salary?? hw much do u invest for everythin u wrote ?? hw much do u save after this?? i think u dont have any idea of the real benefit....... did u ever face problem in trains in general compartment when these warrior bring out an army licensed gun just for the sake of a window seat.........and listen wht they say they ll have no harm killing one or two civilians........god knows how they fight for the same civilian whom they themself ready to kill inside own country..........plz also let me know how these warriors serve nation except during wars or emergency....... two hrs jogging ........playing golf.........drninkin and dancing in evening clubs........they relax like they ve won the world........They are also serving nation like uany other coutryman.......yes the difference is there thats why people enter into army........not because they ve strong feelings for their nation but wht they c in advertisement and listen frm their freinds........so its better to think on practical ground.........every civilian is equally servin the nation and gettin its reward........they are not very special as we make them!!

Wrong kirti!!!u r absolutely wrong!!!An ultimate price that a human pays is with his life. The army pays this price when needed. Do the civilians do that? so what if they relax like they have won the world? so what if they demand a window seat in the train?? dont you ask for a window seat when u check-in in at the airport? dont you spend u r money to buy luxuries for yourself with the salary u get? didnt u ever go to dance clubs inthe evening?? u have done all this but u will never be ready to give up u r life when needed, would you RAMBO?

a train driver........a commercial pilot........a truck driver.......even the people travellin in......... wht do u say r they less patriotic? or they didn t ve guts to make into it in army..... all r at equal risk like our heroes at front.........how many wars ve u seen?.....checkout the budgets allocated for them........i ll never put a gun for window seat anyway.......neither u would do so.......not coz v dont ve guts and guns but coz v dont ve army courts.......yes i enjoy wid my income .....they should enjoy too...but not at the cost of common civilians ( i mean wht v pay everymonth)......did u ever try to get an idea of how costly a game of golf is??........anyway u also pay a cost for life in form of insurance......their handsome insurance not only paid by the govt but also c their family members get gas agency, petrol pump....n many more.......is an engineer or doctor or even a clerk servin in the country less patriotic than our real heroes?? NO NEVER i d say rather they r more than them coz they r d one who really pay them!!
