Very reasponable point. But in fact how many doctors and engineers are selecting their profession to serve the nation. We have seen the response of the medicos to the compulsory term in villages. Compared to the doctors or engineers the army is least corrupted organization in our country.

Just shut up! That person has committed his life to take a bullet for this country and you. Willingly he is ready to do that. If you can join them else be proud of them. What ever we do will always be less then our ability to give up life.

That's a responsible approach. I haven't seen India ever decorating any engineer or doctor. We dont have any good awards in the first place. Its a one-page one-time glory for our scientists and engineers for their lifetime work. Is it worth???. If we keep haing such a biased approach towards patriotism, the army ll keep on importing second grade arms and ammunition.

Exactly, thats on thing these guys dont understand. They think they have a monopoly on patriotism etc. They will go hammer and tongs at all civilians.Granted they are doing a tough job..but why the contempt for other professions ? Why are many army officers seeking voluntary retirement to join the corporate world ? Will the patriotism displayed by these youngsters last once they face reality ?
