Many writers in ignorance, or on sly purpose choose to describe Islam as Empirialist religion based on Historic evidence. This is completely fallacious. Read on..
1. "Islamic" History of war is only 40 years long. Thereafter Islam has never approved of anything that Muslim Kings have done, Muslim Kings are culprits first and foremost in Eyes of Islam
2. Islamic History of War starts with Muhammed pbuh and his followers coming out to face aggressors army in what is known as 'war of Badr'. It was purely defensive war.
3. "Islamic" wars continued for next 40 years as Islam sought to rid humanity of Parasite Kings,tyrants and warlords from face of the earth. Wherever Islamist armies gave kings/warlords a chase, they replaced it with very friendly, austere Caliphate where taxation above 4% was Strictly prohibited and Rule of Law was enforced to such level that even Caliph could not imagine of acting beyound it.
towards end of this 40 years period, some aspiring governors (Amir Muawia) from within Islamist armies staged coup and established Kingdom again. Islamists fought these new born Muslim Kings tooth and nail. But They could not restore Caliphate back. Muslim Kings repressed Islamists ruthlessly and History is witness that in their ruthlessness they Killed entire clan of Muhammed's grandson Hussain, and went on to burn Kaba in Mecca (in Yajeed - son of Muawia - period )

This was END of "Islamic" wars. No politics played after that was ISLAMIC. What happened subsequently in world history is only KINGS fighting KINGS. Islam has no links with it. Islam never approved of Kings rights to rule. Islamists have onlt been a threat to every MUSLIM king in History. Every Muslim King has curtailed Islamists just because Islam does not accommodate them at all.

I did not speak a word on Jihad. I only placed facts to explain that Muslim Kings usurped to power by engineering Coup on Caliphate. Since then Muslim Kings are at their own, Islam has very very clearly rejected their right to exist ever since the begining
Islamists (Caliphs) did Jihad to serve humanity. Muslim Kings only did self seeking conquests

what do u say about People like Ghazni, Taimur who attacked, looted and ruined indian cities and temples, purely in the name of Islam. And Islamic country like Pakistan proudly claims such looters as 'its ancestor' by naming their missile after Ghazni. You are using the 'self denial' to escape the guilt of blood of so many human being in the name of religion. Why should Islam interfere in other civilisations to "rid humanity of Parasite Kings, tryants and warlords from face of the earth" Let the people their sort out own problem. Applying your logic Bush has also 'started the holy war in Iraq to rid humanity there from the tyrant and dictator like Saddam'. Why should you call Iraq war wrong, by this logic???
