Nobody denies that Bachchan is actually what Maharashtra has given him today. Bachchan is a star of Maharashtra( Hindi film world). Had Hindi films not been produced from Mumbai, Bachchan had not been what he is today. It is sad till now no Maharashtra film maker has produced any Marathi film with this actor. It is time Mr Bachchan spreads out to multi-lingual films too, whether it is Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telegu, Kanada. Mr Bachchan has acted in a Bengali film "anusandhan" ( remake of Barsaat ki ek raat with rakhee), still the film holds a top box-office grosser. So. it is time Bachchan speaks out in multi-lingual film, that will be his greatest tribute to our culture. IF Mr Bachchan's father's literature was translated into Marathi, why can't Mr Bachchan act in Marathi cinema too? Mr Bachchan should act in every Indian languages possible, that is what Indians too would prefer. I wish Mr Bachchan to read this letter and transform this into a reality. However,we wish this actor continue in Hindi cinema and spend a long life in Hindi film world too. Mumbai represents Hindi movie world. Acting in regional lanugages can be a part-time job for Mr Bachchan! It is to spread unity message.

what nonsese. even in our Indian Army we have maratha regiment , rajputana regiment and gurkha regiment etc etc. Do we question the commitment of our soldiers to the country if they don't know all the languages? Does our Prime Minitester / President etc know all the languages spoken in india?
Bacchan is just an actor and doesn't have to know language to proove his commitment to the state or country?
Sonia Gandhi learned Hindi but still her commitment is questioned to India? SO people won't keep quite ever.
We need to think of India as a whole and not as scattered.
I am a maharshtrian by birth but my all time favourite actor is Kamal Hassan does that mean am not comitted to Maharashtra?
Thakreys have done more harm than any good to the Maharashtrians so they don't have a right to talk about the commitment to Maharshtra.

So long as the Pandu havildar is Maharashtrian you can spout all this.

The day that Pandu becomes bihari/Upite in majority say bye bye to Maharashtra and hello to Bihar/UP.

Then you will see "apaharan" as the number one industry in Maharashtra.

Then you will wish for the Thackerays but it will be too late.

However do not worry - the Thackerays and rest of Maharashtra will not let that happen.

LOL.

To make a film you need a producer. Ask Raj to produce a film. Mr. Bachchan has always been a directors actor and to my knowledge has not produced films himself (His ABCL bombed.)
