This would be really stupid idea. Why loose years and years of culture and language for some stupid folks who do not understand that language is not something that is restricted to the state. Many of maharshtrians (marathi speaking people) live in other states as well as in foreign countries similarly many Kannada speaking people live in other states and other countries and continue to speak in their native language be it in the commnunity centres or at home. Why would they want to loose their previlage of speaking in their native language.

Siddharth,
National language should be respected. It should not be abused. Why hindi was made national language despite oppose from south. I never meant ban regional lang among their speaker. But national lang should be acceptable by all states. And definitely that should be treated above all regional langs. Ppl should not insulted for speaking just speaking national lang. Which lang deserve this. That is only sanskrit.

If we see about regional lang each indian state have more than one langs. But all states have choosen one state lang. And ignored other saying these are dialect of choosen state lang.

No undue-advantage to Hindi-Bhashis by claiming Hindi as the national language.

Non-Hindi speakers are not second-class citizens of this country.

All regional languages have been given equal status with Hindi in the Constitution of this country.

If you migrate and stay for many years in a non-Hindi state learn to speak the language of that state.

Being non-Hindi does not mean being anti-national!
