action in the aftermath of blasts in hyderabad - move sensibly

Recently, hotels and lodges were all checked. This was on the premise that the %u201Cbomber%u201D or one of the group could be in hiding there. The method was to visit, check registers, and perhaps even rooms on suspicion. That is reasonable, acceptable.



However, when it came to Madrasas, they had to be raided in the middle of the night, and almost surreptitiously. Obviously such co-ordinated raids would not have been carried out without reason, so one assumes the police had %u201Cintelligence%u201D. Considering that nothing was found, what the intelligence credibility is, is obvious.



The hypothesis is that the police went on a fishing expedition, with nothing credible as a justification. German Secret Police, I suppose?



Who checked the Girls%u2019 Madrasa ? Women police personnel or men ? How do we know they did not go there to plant something ? If they had claimed recovery, would anyone had disbelieved them ?



How was the firing executed in the Post Macca Masjid situation ?



What can be the intent behind such action by the state ? Intimidation is the only logical thing I can think of. What will it achieve ?



It will serve to let the Muslims%u2019 feeling that the state is hostile towards them be further validated, embedded in their minds.



That will drive them where the forces inimically disposed towards the country want them to be driven : towards trying illegitimate self help measures disruptive of social order.
