Have been reading some of the posts on this issue, and yet again the strong religious sentiments do come to the fore!!
I mean, we really do have serious religious issue which is to be sorted out but it kind of simmers withing everyone! Sentiments run strong, but thankfully our democratic structure allows us to voice some of it and get away with some of it!!
I would like everyone to lay down some fundamentals, if they love their country. I am not a Hindu/Muslim/Christian/Parsi/Jain etc, I AM A INDIAN first!!! Once that is established, everything else comes second!
Not against Muslims or Hindus, but lets put some points across which is our current world situation: 1. Dubai: Moderate muslim dominated (rather Arab dominated) country, with a cosmo flavour, but come fasting for Ramadan, NO ONE should be found eating or drinking water while the fasting period is on! Does it happen in India, I mean, people can choose what they can do! Then why say, religous sentiments are curtailed? 2. While Saudi welcome global cutting-edge executive presence in the country, but everyone knows that if they are found not conforming to the Islamic laws of the land, they could be proscecuted and like how! Left for the dead, whomsoever they are! Women of other communities are to keep a low profile, have to be covered whatever they standing in soc is? Does that happen here?
Then why do certain communities feel its is Hindu dominated and hence they do not have a voice?

the indians in those countries are expatriates and will return to their homeland in a day or other. it is only a destination in search of livelihood or luxury for many.
the denial of rights can be spoken only in our motherland and INDIA is motherland for all indians either he is a muslim,christian,hindu etc.
if you are hurt or disklike the laws or freedom provided in UAE,SAUDI dont go for jobs in that countries rather than talking rubbish and no sense arguments

To make it clear to you sir (which will take quite some time, I can see), my point is with the subject while you have missed it completely!! I just said, why do certain communities feel they are not getting their lot while it is quite the opposite! There is no embargo on voicing ones own opinion, like you have, no one can stop you and YOU do have a voice, dont you? Thats the point! So instead of crying 'minority minority', do something worthwhile ( apart from producing kids like litter) and get your own space: I can site names of people who have made a name for themselves APJ Kalam, Shahrukh Khan, J Akhtar...I can go on and on...thats not the point; point is its those losers who are a drain on society who cry for 'equality' status, achievers do not bawl...get it dude?

heavan stupid,
i understand you and your points. you are just trying bring the fact that muslims should leave the term "Minority" and join the main stream. for that why you bring the case of UAE or SAUDI and asking that hindus in these places are denied certain facilities.
if an UAE citizen is born non-muslim and if he denied the fundamendal rights ,then what you tell is right OK.
YOU ARE REALLY A EDUCATED STUPID dont compare INDIA with those monarchies

Why do u go over there to search for your livelyhood go to western countries they will allow you to do whatever u like instead of criticizing their systems
